Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck to the inside of the oven or stuck on or behind the waveguide cover.

Thewaveguide cover (also called a spatter shield) is usually about thesize of a playing card and often held in place by a plastic rivet.

It can be fragile, and the metal edges of the oven behind it can be sharp, so be careful!

The cover and the metal behind it should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the cavity metal of the oven is chipped or charred, it will have to be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

If your waveguide cover is burned, it will need to be replaced. It provides important protection for the magnetron.

You were sold defective bulbs? Check the continuity on them. If they are good, compare bases, you may have bulbs with a base that is preventing it making contact.

Have 1 of 2 choices, the main fuse or the control board for the front switches and clock. primary of the small power transformer has opened. Unplug the unit and take case off and measure the fuse with an ohm meter. if u read 1 ohm or less then fuse is good. then measure across the main power plug tips. If read open then the power transformer is bad. Need to replace the board as not sure if transformer is available.

There are three basic types of self-cleaning oven door locks:

1. Manual lock

2. The electromechanical door lock is operated either by pressing a button on the oven's control panel or by physically moving the latch. In either case, the action will activate solinoid.

3 The electric door lock is activated by the user setting the cleaning controls on the control panel of the range. This activates an electric motor, which in turn activates the locking mechanism.

1. To check the function of the door latch, refer to your range's operating manual to determine the type of latch and the location of the latch's operating switch or sensor. Check that the latch is operating freely throughout its range.

2. Before repairs or further testing can begin you must disconnect the electricity at the fuse panel, at the circuit breaker panel, or by pulling the plug. Make sure the power is off before proceeding. A jolt from 220 volts can be fatal, use caution

Set the latch to the "clean" position and test for circuit continuity at the terminals of the switch with your ohmmeter function. If there is no continuity, the switch is faulty

Took out bulb from the oven and try to get the bulb with the similiar rating and size from any electrical shop.

your door monitor switch has gone out. they are 3 switch that monitor the door. remove control panel. they are located behind frame where the door clips go into.

That would be the turntable coupler.

That part number isn't showing up, so it may not be available, or that might not be the right part number.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch or a loose door switch mount, which are pretty simple problems to fix.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.

Door switch or mount trouble is usually caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

If the switch mount is broken, it's usually more economical and safer to add a dab or two of hot glue to the mount to secure the switch. Let it cool for about 30 minutes before using.

One test that sometimes helps is to gently lift up (and/or push down) on the door or handle as you try to start it. If it works or tries to work, then it's a door switch mount or door alignment issue.

on mine there was a sticker underneath

Most microwaves have a temp sensor or moisture sensor. Maybe your one has gone faulty or the magnetron itself is causing it to shutdown. Get it checked up.

Check the wires for the door switches make sure they are not touching. If they are pull them apart and put new ends on or just some electrical tape.

I replaced the primary door safety switch. It works great now.

Find manual and reprogram.

Buy a sheet of mica. It's cheap and easy to work with. Draw and cut a new cover from a sheet and replace the damaged one. There's a example of how cheap mica is (I just used a sheet like that today on my Miele microwave).

Don't try punching holes in mica, always drill them gently. It will easily flake.
