hi, to free up some memory you need to do the following.
1, delete all messages in inbox, outbox,sent,drafts.
2, delete any pictures you dont need
3, delete any ring tones you dont use, most people never use the ones you get free with the phone so deleting these will free up loads of memory.

the reason your phone says low memory is because the memory card isnt counted in this low mem warning so you can transfer stuff to the memory card to free up memory on the phone.

try charging it with another charger, maybe your charger is broken, if not the case it might be charing hub on the phone itself which might be broken, if that's the case you should consult Nokia for a repair, if you want to use that phone again. Good luck!

You will need a new micro-USB port and some fine soldering skills.
