Thanks for using FixYa. Error 5d means too much detergent was used. Try the following procedure---

– Run the unit through a RINSE/SPIN cycle.
– Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any detergent.

This should clear the unit of the excess detergent. If still the problem persists, then please check the following things--



1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.

I u unplugged the machine and it stopped blinking, the lid unlocked but when I tried starting it again the same thing happened. I cleaned the contacts on the lock but that did not help.

This machine is equipped with technology that allows it to sense the load size and will use the appropriate amount of water for that load. Takes the guesswork out!

I'd replace lid lock.

Most likely suspension rods and bushings need replacing. Also check outer tub ring. Sometimes it will break from beating on sides of washer, behind where water comes out.

The machine has found a fault.

Hi jbrundage1. I believe you have a UL error code on the washer. It means that the sensors in the washer are sensing the unit is unbalanced. When the washer is empty, set it to a spin or rinse and spin setting. Run the washer through the cycle empty, as it will help to remove any excess water in the tub. Also, make sure the washer is level, as it is balanced on springs, and that could be throwing the sensors off. I hope these suggestions prove helpful. revisit the drain pump and make sure that you have the small "O" ring seal properly installed between the housings otherwise replace the pump assembly
