Just had this fault on our W5877 appearing as soon as it tried to drain. Found a piece of thread jamming the drain pump and once cleared works fine

To the rear and top of the drawar there should be a mechanism to release the drawer, it will need to be depressed, pushed down....then you should be able to pull drawer out in order to check how the flap should go back
