Try resetting the device as follows.
Turn off the unit by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
Remove and reinsert the memory card.
Turn the unit on and wait for it to reboot (may take 40 seconds or more).
The MN6.exe fatal Application error is displayed
push the reset button on the side of the system (a paperclip works well for this). Also, remove the card and put in again. If this doesn't work go to Navigons website and make sure you've downloaded all the software updates. Make sure your unit is fully charged as well. Don't waste your time emailing Navigon's CS online help....I attempted to contact them on 3 separate occassions and never got a response. Good luck. Hope one of my work-arounds helps you.
How do i get the navigon to get me the best
i assume you dont have the Manual and since no one has tried to help you yet, you can get your manual
HEREim not familiar with this model so i could only help with a copy of the manual for your unit.
i could read it and describe to you how to do it but its better if you read and then youll have the whole manual incase you need to refer to it again.
dont for get to save it to your computer or save the url somewhere.
We are getting a message on our GPS that memory is low
does yours have a memory card slot on the right side? if so u can upgrade that memory card and transfer the info from the old to the new by putting the info on a computer with a card reader then putting the info from the computer to the new bigger memory card. i would get like more than double the current memory. cards are fairly cheap these days.
Fatal application error
The mapping op system/software has become corrupted and needs to be reinstalled
Resetting is unlikely to fix this problem, especially as the autorun which is the loading section of the underlyiong operating system.
There may be many reasons why this has occured. A magnetic influence from a mobile phone, Leaving the GPS in a hot car Writing music or photos to any SD card that contains the mapping software, for those models that do use them as the source of maps. The latter is not supposed to happen but does on occasion.
When you turn on the autorun is invoked it sets a reserved amount of memory to start up the system However the corruption has affected this fubction and filled the buffer with zeros ot junk
Is this a new unit under warranty? If so take it to the seller to have it repaired. It is not a DIY.
