Kenmore HE2 Plus Front Load Washer - Page 5 Questions & Answers
I hear a scraping sound when the cylinder spins is it a part loose?
Difficult to say as people use different terminology to describe noises; one person's scraping noise tends to be another person's rumbling noise.
It is possible something is loose inside but there isn't much that commonly works loose in a washer. Could be the drum bearings are failing or the tub suspension has broken or become detached but in the case of the latter it would usually be noticed the drum alignment would be changed and a louder knocking as the washload begins to spin.
Error code f24
Hi
F24
is a water temperature sensor error. You have to unplug the washer and check
the water temperature sensor and its connections, if that is fine then check
the resistance of the heating element and the part that is bad should be
replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further
assistance.

Why does the washer stop during a load and "F 06"
Hello,
The F6 error code means that the computer on the control didnt detect that the motor reached a high speed on the spin cycle, sometimes it thinks the washer didnt spin fast enough because of a loose wire connection either on the motor or the control boards (motor &machine control) if you find that the washer did actually spin at high speed (clothes dont come out sopping wet at the end of cycle) the wire connections or the motor control board will be the potential causes of the F6 error code

Getting a f 31 error on Kenmore front loader
Hello & Welcome to FixYaError F31 in your Kenmore washer is displayed due to MCU (Motor Control Unit) failure. It is displayed if the heat sink gets too hot and then the MCU stops motor, then MCU sends the signal to CCU (Central control unit). Please check the wire connections between the CCU and MCU, if thats fine then check the motor operation. Hope you understand...replacing the part# that has gone bad is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.Kevin
Cronic drain problems with Kenmore he2Plus front loader washer
This is a job you shd do, not pay for each time, your dealer is taking you for a ride (or wash). The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. Lift washer to place wooden blocks to reach screws. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.
Kenmore HE2 Plus Washer won't unlock
This advice is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet model front loading washers. If you experience a problem where the door becomes jammed and will not unlock or open, here's an easy way to gain access inside your washer WITHOUT calling the repairman.
1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.
Sometimes these doors will not unlock for whatever reason. If there are no error codes being generated, this could have just been a momentary glitch. If you see "Fdl" or "Fdu" error codes, these are usually indications of a failed door latch assembly and will require replacement.

The F variable electronics does not allow the washer cycle to begin
From the Owner's Manual:
"F" Variables [F4 to F16] (Electrical problem)
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call for service.
I would say, before calling for service turn the machine off then unplug it for a minute then plug back in and try.
How do I open bottom to unplug drain pipe?
There are three or four screws, on the very bottom lip of the lower cover under the door. They are a pain to get to and when I work on these, I usually have to lift the front of the unit to be able to access these screws. Remove the screws and lift the bottom of the cover towards you and remove the panel.
