Thick black line through page when copying or scanning

Sounds like part of your scanner is not functioning and reading black all the time. Probably best to return it for a replacement.

Lexmark 4800 lost wireless connection with windows 7

Wireless communication issues could be due to wireless signal quality, signal interference, firewall, etc. Make sure your printer is positioned where it receives excellent wireless signal strength (avoid physical obstructions whenever possible) and away from appliances which emit wireless signals (e.g. microwave ovens, cordless telephones, baby monitors, and other wireless electronics) that may cause interference. Make sure to allow full access to all Lexmark software and printer communication processes in the program rules/permissions for your firewall.

Running Leopard Snow OS 10.6.7 and Lexmark X4875

You can download the Lexmark 4800 Series driver from the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/hjWPTi. However, for the Lexmark OCR scan software, that can only be installed using the install disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

Printer keeps telling me that paper is jammed, but

Even the tinest piece of paper can cause this and also a sensor needing cleaned. Take a small flashlight and examine every nook and cravice of the computer. You may find a piece of paper. Take a lint free cloth and clean inside the machine as well and then try it.

Lexmar 4875 Flatbed Wireless printer not connecting to the networ

I know you posted this in May, so have probably given up and bought a new printer by now, but I thought it worth mentioning that I had the same problem exactly (though without the same number of iphones and laptops!).
Buried away in some documentation on the driver CD, is the fact that the X4875 can't communicate with a secure wireless network that uses a TKIP algorithm - it can only handle AES. My router used TKIP out of the box, and I never thought to change is, especially as it's stronger than AES. However, changing it to AES solved the problem.
By the way, if you're using Vista, you may find that you have to run the install package in Windows XP compatibility mode, and then when the install is complete, manually change every .exe under c:\program files\lexmark\.. to run in XP compatibilty mode too. Works for me (Vista Business), but didn't work wirelessly at all before. Good luck,
Chris J.

I just switched to Verizon DSL from cable and now

Most likely the change in providers resulted in a change to your internal IP addressing scheme. First, make sure all of your devices have been power-cycled since the change to ensure they are using a valid IP for your network. Then, go to Control Panel -> Printers. From here, Add a Printer and select the Network or Wireless printer and allow Windows to search for your device. It should detect it and add it to your system. You can delete the old printer from the list once you have confirmed it is working properly.

Cannot print with Lexmark x4875, Windows Vista OS.

You need to cancel all print jobs for a printer, you must have permission to manage documents on the printer.

1. Open printers by clicking the "Start" button , clicking "Control Panel," clicking "Hardware and Sound," and then clicking "Printers."

2. To open the print queue, double-click the printer you are using.

3. Click the "Printer" menu, and then click "Cancel All Documents." Depending on the printer, the item currently printing might finish, but the remaining items will be cancelled.

Next, you may have to change the communication format called the "Spool format."
Please follow the steps given below to change the spool data format:
1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel," "Hardware and Sound" and "Printers."
2. Then, right click on the Lexmark printer icon and left click "Properties."
3. Either on the "Advanced" tab or the "General" tab for some models, there is a "Print Processor" button, left click it.
4. This is the spool format setting. Under "Print processor" it should be set to "Lexmark 4800 series print processor." Next, under "Default datatype," select "NT EMF 1.008."
5. Click "OK" and exit back out to your desktop.
6. Please try printing again.
If this does not help the situation, please describe any differences it does make.
