Epson STYLUS R230 InkJet Photo Printer - Page 8 Questions & Answers

Parts inside your printer are at end of there
The R230 printer is compatible with the SSC utility and also has an access hatch in the rear that allows easy access to the waste ink tube.
While you could take the printer to a service centre the chances are high that they would be unable to source the necessary parts to replace the original pads, and also the cost would be in excess of 100 GBP or more for labour, etc.
So, opting for a self-reset and external waste ink tank like a Printer Potty would be a far more cost effective move.
For the reset, this screen cast covers the basics for setting up compatibility mode in Windows Vista or 7. If you're using Windows XP you can skip ahead to the part where it shows you how to use the SSC utility itself.
Note: Windows 8 is not supported, in which case you've be looking at the WICReset utility and a key purchase to complete the reset. Still worth it though.

Error
Printer have paper sensor at paper feeding side (right corner). If sensor lever spring got loose the error be display paper led. To solve this, you have to twice, one is check sensor cable inside system board if get loose. If this is ok then take out the sensor and maintain the spring or change that or use some white grease.

Printer Driver for R230 OS Windows 7
Let me understand ... you have a beta version of Windows 7 and you dont know where to get a printer driver?
If I had this situation, id frist look at microsoft to see if the printer would be supported and then, Id look at Epson to see what they had to offer.
You could have your computer scanned, for free, at PCPITSTOP.COM. Im certain the report they would provide you free of charge would indicate the drivers you have as well as the drivers you need. They would also point you in the direction you would neet to go to fix this.
I hope this info helps you
