Just reinstall the brother software.

Hi Good day!! Too bad i think the problem is the print head of your unit. maybe the tube inside that connects from the print head is clogged. i suggest to contact your local supplier to repair it or replace it if the unit is still in warranty process..

try to remove the printhead and clean it with a soft cloth and alchool.

Question edited for clarity. 985 or 895? Usually because the jam hasn't been cleared or the machine hasn't been reset. Remove the paper tray an open the cartridge bay. Open the rear paper door, check underneath. This machine has a lot of paper scraps in it. :>D
