I hadn't backed up my contacts on my blackberry curve when I dropped it, rendering it inoperable.
Is there any way to retrieve the data (contacts, memos, etc) from a blackberry that will not operate?
Who is your carrier? Try to either calling them or log in to your account if thats a possibility. All your contacts should be saved on your profile.

My Blackberry storm will not ring. It will vibrate but the ringer will not play out loud. I have tried adjusting the volume and turning off vibrate but this doesn't help. When I tried to play my ringtones through my media file it says error playing file not supported. Any ideas whats up or how to fix it?
It seems like the problems starts after using an audio streaming app (Slacker)It also seems to correct after a reset(battery out and back in).

i Just got my storm a week ago and now it keeps freezing up with that little clock thing in the middle like its loading something i tried leaving it alone and it lasts more than an hour and will not do anything such as recieve calls or texts or even let me cancel. i have tried erasing a lot of stuff off of my memory card and the only way i have found to get it to un freez is take the battery out of it but when i turn it back on it kinda goes back into the freez frenzy
mine did the same thing, but i went into the phone and checked "NO" to the mass storage mode support. to get there....go to "options"...then click on "memory". then turn off "mass storage mode support".

help
the Application error 513, reset message says that the device OS is toasted and needs to be rebuilt. In order to do this, you need to have Blackberry Desktop manager on your computer, your data cable, and a download for your device software. Either from blackberry or your carrier. The easiest method is to download and install the device software. Once it's installed, launch desktop manager and plug in the phone. If the phone is detected, you will be prompted to update. Follow the prompts. If not, you will have to do it the hard way. open command prompt (start>run>cmd) and goto C:\program files\common files\Research in Motion\Apploader Then choose Loader /NOJVM That's going to rebuild the blackberry.

my blackberry won't charge, the red led light keeps flashing but it won't turn on, what can i do to fix this problem
I just called Verizon Wireless who said that the phone may need to be charged completely for a few hours. Try taking the battery out and putting it back on as well.

blackberry storm wont turn on or charge red light blinks constantly is there a physical reset button
This may work. Mine was doing the same thing this morning so I was looking through forums to no avail.
I have been using my USB charger since I got my Storm as I left my wall charger in another city and only just got it back...
The phone would do the same thing when I tried to charge (off USB) depsite pulling out battery etc.
I went home and plugged into wall charger and left it (maybe 20 minutes?) and a battery with a lightning bolt followed by the loading page and it is now back to life...
Hope this works out for you!!

its showing a RELOAD SOFTWARE 513 message.how do i fix it???????
What you need to try to do is reinstall the blackberry OS (operating system) on your device.
Assuming you have verizon
First install Blackberry desktop manager it should be in the CD that came with the phone.
If you can't find it download it
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=5E695511C1F9656B8E3E63DAB060F469
Then download the OS software for your phone http://vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/download.aspx?ct=personal"
Install it
Connect your phone to your computer and start Desktop manager
Click on application loader, on update software click start, click ok on USB pin selection.
when you get to the device backup and restore options, click settings
and make sure backup options box is unchecked and device data boxes are
both checked, click ok, click next, skip the email signup stuffs, and
finish.
After the software is installed the phone should boot back up
