If you are not using your printer atleast once a week the inks will tend to dry out. you can replace the ink or try a simple test by taking a Q-tip with alcohol on it and rubbing it across the cartridges ink face. then place it back in and try to print something. If it works a little after the test sheet, the ink is too old or dried and needs replacing.

sometimes old model printer not compatible to W8 OS.. do some re-search might need to update the Lexmark software to work on W8 os

What model Lexmark printer/copier?

You need to purchase 36A, 37A Regular Cartridges from Lexmark.com website. These cartridges are refillable.

Unplug the Power Supply from the printer....... Press and hold the Stop/Clear button on the Printer and Plug in the Power Supply while holding the Stop/Clear button it should say clearing on the screen at that point u can go ahead and release the Stop/Clear button..........
