I do have a Brother MFC-5890 CN. Printer does not print and displays message " Unable to init.48" What are my options?

Try to print a test page, if this comes out in black in yellow take out the cartridges and make sure the plastic is taken off the bottom and pop them back in. Do a test page again. Does it now print in colour and are there any errors on the machine or pc? i.e. out of ink?

To scan legal documents you need to set the scanner to legal. GO to Start menu / all programs / brother / scanner utility and set the size to legal.
