Your A drive is generally the floppy disk drive. Do you have a floppy disk drive on this PC??? If so, open up the PC and ensure the IDE cable is securely connected to the drive, and is also securely connected the motherboard.

Nothing on my Emachines computer will turn on.

I would recommend rechecking your connection to the motherboard. All wires from the power supply to board and making sure the front panel switch connection are correct. Also, make sure the power supply is compatible to the motherboare. even though a 20-Pin ps will connect to a 24-Pin board, it still does not work. Good Luck

Pc wont power up

Is there an on off switch on the back out the computer next to the main power socket? If so move it to the on position.
Check the mains lead and make sure it is firmly inserted in the socket.
When you press the front panel on button and it doosn't boot up and there is no light indicating power, then you have a faulty switch mode power supply.
Remove the switch mode power supply and replace it with a new one with the same wattage or greater wattage.

Fix my screen size

Click start control panel display desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list or a browse button where you can select different pictures this may vary depending on your operating system.

Also settings you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal size, larger size or custom settingsalways click APPLY after making any changes.

Right click in the top toolbar you will see a number of toolbars and options select the menu tab this will add to the Toolbar File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help

On the top of the internet page you should see some tabs file edit view favorites tools and help Click on the view tab on the drop down list you should see a zoom size %

Click a different percentage also a text size you might try a different text size although this will not increase the size of the page only the text fonts inside it There might be a menu button on the monitor where you can adjust reduce / expand the screen sizes usually located on the underside of the monitor of course this will depend on your brand of monitor.hope this helps.

I counted 13 quick beeps at startup on an emachines E520. what dose that mean ? how do i fix it please ?

Thirteen quick beeps at startup on an eMachines E520 usually indicate a problem with the laptop's RAM (Random Access Memory). This could mean that the RAM is not properly seated in its slot, or it could be a sign of a faulty RAM module.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Turn off the laptop and disconnect it from the power source.
Remove the battery from the laptop.
Locate the RAM compartment on the bottom of the laptop.
Check to make sure that the RAM module is seated properly in its slot. You may need to remove and reinsert the RAM module to ensure a proper connection.
Replace the battery and turn on the laptop.
If the problem persists, try removing the RAM module and testing it in a different laptop or using a different RAM module in the eMachines E520 to determine if the problem is with the RAM module itself or with the laptop's RAM slot.
If none of these steps solve the problem, it may be necessary to contact a computer technician for further assistance..
