have you checked device manager to see if your sound driver is installed to access device manager in xp you go to start run and type devmgmt.msc in vista and windows 7 go to start>start search>type device manager if you soundcard isnt installed it will appear as multimedia audio contoller then you will have to download the driver from emachines website Http://support.emachines.com

if it has always been this loud then your computer is just hot and you should replace it with a fan that moves more air yet is quiter.

if it just started getting louder then your computer needs to be cleaned as there is dust that is clogging fans heatsinks etc and is causing them to run hotter, with the computer off take some compressed air and and blow out the case, make sure the air can is upright at all times otherwise you could get moisture on components and ruin them.

To resolve this problem, you will have to assign the default action for each type of disk that you try to play in the disk drive.

To do this, right-click on the icon for "CD drive" in "My Computer" and select "Properties"

Then click on "Autoplay" tab. (See attached image)



Then select the type of files "Music, video, Mixed content,etc" from the drop-down menu and click on "Select an Action to Perform"

Then in the options window, choose "Play with Windows Media Player" and click on the "Apply" and "OK" buttons.

Repeat the step for other disk types.

plz put the mother board cd in the cd rom and install the drivers, or you can download it from the manufacture website.

Your desktop computer does not have a wireless adapter.

Looks promising. It's an INF fie which are driver files. Download, extract, and direct Device Manager where to install driver from. The worst that can happen is it won't install, or you have uninstall / delete. Better than those fake drivers you mentioned.

Check cables, connections, pins, If you have a Graphics Card, reseat it. Sound like a connection or graphics issue. Do you have a can of Electronic's Contact Spray? I use it for cleaning connector, PCI slots, etc., Where copper connections oxidation occurs. May be a simple reset or bad Graphic Card. Hard to say for sure.

Did you check W7 compatibility before install? It is likely that your low-end RAM-based graphics was a bust.

i assumed your os is window xp....try this steps;1. right click on my computer, left click on the properties2. select the advanced tab, under performance click settings3. on the advanced tab, under virtual memory click change4. Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive you want to change5. Under paging file size for selected drive, select the custom size6. type 384 in the initial size (mb) text box7. click set and then ok 8. close the dialog and restart i hope this help.

We had a problem like this with one of our PCs and it was a very nasty virus that needed specialist help, they had to reload all the software. Suggest you get access to another PC and find out if it is a virus. Sorry!

I would look inside at the power supply IF you can get to that for puffed up caps---if found you can either replace them (seen some with several bad) or look for a generic replacement power supply.Usually here it will begin by being hard to turn on at first but once on will operate--sooner or later it will not come on at all.

must be easier to move the hd to a hd-caseing and start transfer to a another computer......to much time-consuming.

Most desktops do Not have wifi built in and specs for this unit do no show wifi , you usualy need to add a wifi dongle in a usb port or add a card.
