Installing adobe acrobat pro 6 to windows 7

This is an old version of Acrobat that was written for NT, Win2K and XP. Due to changes in the OS, it's hard to get the program to install in Windows 7. Which version of Win7 do you have? (32-bit or 64-bit and Home Premium, Pro or one of the other variants) Since you indicated this under the Dell Dimension E521 with 1 GB of memory, I'll guess Win7 Pro 64-bit. (This uses the 64 bit CPU) You can check by clicking Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System. If the Windows version ends with x64, it is the 64-bit version. Otherwise, you have the 32-bit version.Under the 64-bit OS, you need one of the following workarounds: a second computer, a dual boot computer or a virtual computer running an older version of Windows. If your hardware supports virtualization, this might be a good bet if you can add memory to computer. With Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can download and install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft and run XP for free. Then install Acrobat in XP mode as if it were your only machine. (Note: the Virtual PC requires a share of your total memory and doesn't give it back to the main computer while it is running.) The other methods listed require a licensed version of an older Windows OS. If you have the 32-bit version of Windows 7, you can try the compatibility mode. Right click on the installer and choose Properties. In the compatibility tab, check always run in the compatibility mode and select an older version of Windows. Then click Apply to save the changes and then click OK. Then right click again and choose Run As Administrator. You may have to repeat the compatibility mode changes for the program itself. You may want to consider upgrading to a Windows 7 compatible version of Acrobat. The current version is Version X. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Change graphics card

1) Follow Anti-Static ProceduresYour body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit), the delicate hardware components inside a computer.Relieve your body of Static, BEFORE reaching inside your computer.Computer on a table, computer Unplugged from power, computer case open;TOUCH an unpainted surface, of the metal frame of the open computer case. This action will relieve your body of Static.IF, you leave your computer in the middle of working on it, be SURE to Touch the metal frame again; upon your return.(Also use Anti-Static Procedures BEFORE removing new hardware, out of their antistatic bags, or cartons. Such as a graphics card, for example )Now we come to;1) Are you still using the graphics the computer came with?According to this website it is an ATI Radeon X1300 graphics card,http://www.cnet.com.au/dell-dimension-e521_specs-339271259.htmExample,http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-ATI-Radeon-X1300-256MB-DDR2-DVI-TV-Graphics-Video-Card-PCI-Express-/151012337856?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item23290968c0(The Integrated Graphics on the motherboard, is Nvidia GeForce 6150LE,http://support.dell.com/support/systemsinfo/document.aspx?s=dfh&~file=/systems/dime521/en/sm_en/specs.htmhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_6_Series#GeForce_6150LE )The graphics expansion slot you have is a PCI-Express x16 slot.It is based on the Nvidia nForce 430, and Nvidia GeForce 6150LE; motherboard chipset,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Nvidia_graphics_processing_units#GeForce_6_.286xxx.29_seriesCame out on the market June of 2006.The PCI Express 2.0 technology didn't come out, until January 15, 2007,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express#PCI_Express_2.0Therefore, we can assume the PCI Express technology your computer is using, is PCI Express 1.1You can use a PCI Express 2.0 graphics card, though. This is is because PCI Express 2.0 technology, is Backward Compatible with PCI Express 1.1 technology."PCIe 2.0 motherboard slots are fully backward compatible with PCIe v1.x cards. PCIe 2.0 cards are also generally backward compatible with PCIe 1.x motherboards, using the available bandwidth of PCI Express 1.1. Overall, graphic cards or motherboards designed for v2.0 will work with the other being v1.1 or v1.0a."(From the above Wikipedia article)However, will you get the full capability of the PCI Express 2.0 graphics card?NOWill you notice?NOYou can also use a PCI Express graphics card, based on the PCI Express 2.1 technology.Requirements;1) PCI-Express x16 slot. You have that.(The Lock lever on the end, looks as though you press down, to unlock.Actually you LIFT UP, slightly.Use CARE though, and do NOT lift too much. You'll see it just takes a little. It's also PLASTIC, and can break.Lift up slightly to install a graphics card, on remove one )2) Power Supply:You need to look at the system requirements. Plus more specifically, the Power Requirements.Website that sells the graphics card does Not state this?Go to a different website that does.Your Power Supply is rated at 305 Watts.HOWEVER, this power supply was made back in the day, when Power Supply manufacturers were 'fudging'; the REAL actual maximum rated Wattage.Actual maximum rated Wattage is more like 60 to 70 percent, of what is stated.305 Watts divided by 10 = 30.5Round it off to 30.30 times 6 = 180 Watts30 times 7 = 210 WattsBIG difference.Recommendation? It really depends on what you wish to do, with the graphics card.It also depends on if you are willing to get a better Power Supply. It also depends on the Processor.AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+?Dual core processor that can operate Up To, a maximum frequency rate ('Speed'), of 2.0GHz.(Can also be stated as 2000MegaHertz. 2000MHz)Not bad.http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7620168&CatId=3585Going to need a 400 Watt power supply, though.http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2941922&CatId=3669Same here.http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=899123&Sku=T925-5002500 Watt power supply. Gives you more, than the recommended 10 percent extra power you should have. This way the Power Supply will last longer, because it doesn't have to work as hard. For additional questions please post in a Comment.Regards, joecoolvette

When I put my the processor to my computer on,the monitor does not come on.My monitor works ok,therefore,it's my processor which has a problem. What is it's problem?

Whew! You're going to have to clarify this one!"When I put the Processor to my computer on,........"What?Is that like, "When I turn my CPU on......"That would be wrong too, but I would understand what you are stating.CPU = Central Processing Unit. Another term used is Microprocessor, or simply Processor for short.Does NOT mean Personal Computer. It is a reference to the Processor IN the computer, which is the 'Brain' of the computer.Do not speak the English language? That's OK. You are doing a terrific job. Apologizes all that I am fluent in is English.(And that is debatable sometimes! lol!)Dell Support > Dimension E521 Desktop PC > Service Manual,ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_dimension_desktops/dimension-e521_service%20manual_en-us.pdfThe page number box is at the Top, to the Right of the Down Arrow. You can use the Down Arrow to go page by page, or if you know the page number you can perform this;1) Put your mouse cursor in the page number box.Left-click once. Use the plastic straw)If not air pressure from your mouth will be sufficient.Reinstall the Ram Memory modules.Close the computer case. Plug the computer back into power. My dell computer gives me amber light

Step 1: Test your PSU power supply unit or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/f/powersupplytest.htm WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL. http://www.kitchentablecomputers.com/static.php - rules Only work inside the computer case when the power has been switched off and disconnected. Never open the power source. Some of the below steps recommend removing physical parts within the computer. While in the computer it is highly recommend that you be aware of ESD and its potential hazards Remove the memory modules from their slots. Take the opportunity to clean the slots on the motherboards and the memory module connectors. Use compressed air to blow dust away and clean contacts with a soft cloth. Do not use a metallic vacuum cleaner if it touches any component it may create a short and cause damage to the motherboard or other components. Do not use solvent that may attract dust and never poke things like cotton buds in to slots. lightly rub an alcohol (Methylated Spirits) on a cloth not to hard let the alcohol do the work on the copper gold or silver tabs and r Allow the pins to dry. They will air dry in a matter of minutes. If reseating the memory did not resolve the issue try swapping the location of the memory. If you have only one stick of memory in the computer try moving it to another slot and then boot the computer. Check the memory module and memory slot contacts. They are either copper tin or gold. The colour will tell you which they are. Mixing tin and gold can result in corrosion that prevents proper contact. Look for any sign of physical damage to the memory module, memory slots or the motherboard. Reseat the memory modules. You should hear an audible click when they are in place. Do not use too much force to reseat the memory module in to the slot this can cause damage to the module, slot or motherboard. The hardware that you are trying to access is damaged or failing. The device drivers for the hardware are faulty or incompatible. Could be a problem with the Hard Drive or the Hard drives PCB http://www.onepcbsolution.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du0Qd_3wFWM There is a connection problem such as a bad cable for internal hard drives Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO THE HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty if its a flat 40pin ide this will be the first to fail Make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd and floppy (If Applicable) have secure connections and are not faulty. or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs power and data to travel through every working device and continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

Red blue and green patterning on the monitor

You can try switching out the VGA cable (the one with the blue connectors on each end). If this does not work, try a factory reset on your monitor.

Make sure everything is hooked up correctly did you install the disc that came with this first. If not undo the device and install the software that came with it. Also you can disconnect the device completely, then power the computer completely down. Push the power button 1-2 seconds. You will not see the device because it is unhooked, by doing this you can start fresh and re-install the device again with power completely off, then restart computer again check in the device manager to see if it loaded this time. My CD Tray wont open

can you see the light of the cd drive blinking??.........if not then you have a loose connection between your drive and your motherboard. if the light is blinking then you then think that your eject switch is not working properly. In this case if you want to open the tray......then you have to follow this... there is a little junction hole just right on the light...you see it??yeah you need a needle like metal wire that can be inserted into this hole.If you push the the wire into this hole, you'll se that the tray is coming out.then you can play your disc easily. GOOD LUCK!
