As the year go by your machine collects all sort of junk. The specs indicate your machine has Windows XP, is that correct? In Internet Explorer remove ALL unnecessary toolbars and Search Providers, they are killers on IE speed, use this procedure: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/how-to-manage-add-ons-in-internet-explorer-9 Here are some tips to speed up Windows XP: http://www.wikihow.com/Speed-up-a-Windows-XP-Computer You can always do a Factory Recovery, returning the machine to the day you got it. Computer wont start up

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact. Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

Adobe website problem/flash player problems

I think this is due to cookies. Google Chrome options - 1. Click on "Tools" (Spanner in the right corner under the close page X) 2. Click on "options" (11th option down) 3. Click "under the bonnet" 4. Click "content settings" 5. Keep on the cookies section. Make sure it's on "allow local data......" Click "Exceptions" 6. Type in the facebook ULR 7. Do the same (click exceptions) for all of the others BUT NOT POP UPS!!! If this still doesn't work do the same but instead of facebooks ULR do the games ULR aswell. e.g. facebook/games<(it won't be that so don't copy that(just copy the exact facebook games ULR and make sure it's correct).
Hope I helped Dr Reed

Dvd wont play

Just any DVD disc or particular DVD (home made one). Check if you can still play music CD. Need to determine if the issue is physical drive or software. Try burning a movie to the DVD drive. Does it work? Then try burning a CD. Does it work? If it doesn't, thenyou could have a dirty (dust) laser...This requires opening and cleaning (with q-tips).

My toshiba l300 can't even power.the led lights

When you connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED light up? If not then -
The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's power socket could be faulty.
Check power adapter’s DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced.
If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.
This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

When I login I can

Remove the hard drive and put it into an enclosure. Plug it into another computer as a slave. Then you can copy your files on it.If it shows up in 'my computer' as a drive letter(like E: drive) but you can't access it, you can recover data from hard drive with data recovery program. This data recovery is a professional data recovery program that can recover data after deeply scanning your hard drive to look for lost data due to drives crash, physical damage, system sabotage, virus attack etc. You can get it here: http://www.asoftech.com/adr/After you recover your data, you can format it to check out whether it can be fixed.

The copmputer starts to start

first, recover your files. You will need to use something like asoftech data recovery program.http://www.asoftech.com/adr/I've had to use it many times in the past but in this case you need to plug that drive into another system as an external drive or slave drive and run the software from there. It will rebuild the drive and hopefully recover the files. After you get back your files, you can then format the drive and reinstall your system.

Toshiba Satellite L310 problem , display cannot appears

If the screen went blank after the driver install, sometimes clicking the mouse on the screen will bring the picture back. It sounds like the monitor is having a conflict with the resolution the driver is throwing out. Reboot the laptop and when you see the Toshiba splash screen, tap F8 until you see the multiple boot menu. Scroll to Safe Mode with networking and reboot. If the screen comes up, go to the control panel > System > hardware > display adapter > click on the plus sign and double click the reported adapter.click on driver tab and select roll back driver > click yes to any prompts and click ok. Reboot normally and see if that clears the problem.
