I recently had to format

Two things - Does the normal screen look O.K. ? is your screen set for 1024 x 600 (right click desktop, Properties - Settings, (normally this sets itself correctly) drag the slider till it is 1024 x 600)
If the above is set correctly - when on the internet Press Ctrl AND - (minus) to shrink the screen if still too big, repeat. Note the text also gets smaller!

Screen goes white when plugged into the mains

It could be a driver or bios firmware issue.

If I were you I would check the support page for your model on Samsungs website, then download and install the latest bios and video driver for your model.

Let me know if that solves your issue.

Good luck ;)

Blank screen. took to shop

Start taking your laptop apart piece by piece and test it after each removed component:
1. Remove the hard drive and test the laptop.
2. Remove the DVD drive and test the laptop.
3. Remove the wireless card and test the laptop.
4. Unplug the display panel from the motherboard/video card and test the laptop.
etc....
Continue taking it apart until you have only three major components connected: motherboard (with video card), processor, and memory. If you still experience the same problem, most likely it's bad motherboard.
By the way, before you start, try reconnecting the memory module. If you have two modules installed, try removing them one by one and test the laptop with each one separately.

My Samsung p400 laptop won't

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

Samsung nc10 screen goes black. its power on i

Try attaching an external monitor to the laptop & see if you could get any display on it. If this is successful, then you might have either a faulty LCD cable or screen inverter board.
The LCD cable transfers data signal from the motherboard & video card to the LCD screen. It also supplies high voltage DC power to the screen inverter board. The screen inverter board works as a power supply for the backlight lamp mounted inside the LCD screen. It converts low voltage DC power to high voltage AC power needed for the backlight lamp.

My netbook, model nc10 ,the display becomes white

sounds like you have a problem with your screen/pc connection at the base of the hinge/keyboard. only dismantling and repairing this type of connector would repair you pc--tricky i admit.

Screen gose white when carger

Hmm, this is an interesting one. I've had some issues in the past with screen behaviour or with a hissing sound on lcds when the charger is plugged in. Try closing the lid (hence screen is momentarily off) before plugging in power, see if it's ok when you open the lid.

Screen has blacked out

If you have one available, connect an external monitor to the computer to see if it works. If it does, you can use it like that from now on or take your computer to a local repair shop to have the screen replaced. I would expect this to cost around $150 with parts and labor. If the external monitor doesn't work, there may be a bigger issue and your computer would need to be looked at by a repair shop.

I HAVE N127 NOTEBOOK. THE

Hi the problem you are having is very common fault, now the problem itself is to do with the thin ribbon that connects the screen to the circuit board, what happens is that over continured use of you opening and closing the screen this causes this ribbon to become brittle.
now the ribbon has several thin one strand copper wires in it and these break causing the problem you are getting, now the only way to solve the problem is to get this ribbon replaced.

it isnt an expensive part to buy and should not be expensive to fit, how ever it can be to difficult to do yourself as it requires taking the whole net book apart so you can get to both ends of this ribbon.

to get it working have you tried using the screen at different angles try not opening it so far or open it further doing this may get it working enough for you to do your work if not then the chances are the ribbon is to damaged and will need replacing before you will be able to get it working as it should do.

im sorry their is no easy fix but without getting this ribbon replaced it just wont work. how ever read on

the other possible cause could be that the netbook has over heated and if this is the case then it will just be a case of someone taking it apart and getting all the dust out and also resealing the heat compound onto the processor but without getting the ribbon checked it would be impossible to say what it causing the fault.

my first thoughts would be that it is the ribbon but without being able to see and check the netbook myself it would be difficult to be 100% sure.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

I have windows seven installed on a samsung

That was because Failsafe thinks you are trying to modify the computer for illegal reasons...
Usually, FailSafe automatically uninstalls itself at the end of the 30 day trial. Unfortunately, IF you make adjustments to your computer before it is uninstalled, or if it didn't automaticall uninstall itself -
You will have to Register with Phoenix Failsafe, in order to get them to give you an Unlock Code. Hoping you are in the U.K. here is the Phone No. of Phoenix

CANNOT GET INTERNET CONNECTION

With the Samsung NC10 there is a 'switch' inside the BIOS which is normally set to ON. - If you've never been into the Bios it will still be set to ON...
On the Keyboard there is another 'switch' this is the one we usually use.
By pressing and holding down the [Fn] key and Tapping the [F9] key, (marked with an Aerial symbol).
The screen should show Wireless ON (or, if it was already on, Wireless OFF.
This kind of 'switch' is called a 'TOGGLE' switch - it switches or toggles between ON and OFF

What i will do if everytime i am plugging the

the lcd cable that joins the screen to the motherboard is most probably faulty under AC power input. To fix it you need a new ribbon cable. Samsung will charge to sort it without warranty however the NC10 has a 12 month warranty so check your receipt date. Failing that a local computer shop is likely to be the cheapest option.
