I tried to put Coby mp610 firmware into my Coby

Use a toothpick and press the reset button. The reset button is on the bottom of the back side. It doesn't delete anything, it resets the power.

I have a colby MP610-4G and I want to remove all music from it!

Deleting Files,Pictures,etc from MP3 Player

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. Good Luck, I hope this helps

How to unfreeze coby mp600

Hello

Download the firmware update and save it to a location on your hard drive that you will be able to remember. This firmware includes a specific fix for the multiple reasons that the device is freezing.

Press and hold the "Menu" button on the player, then connect the Coby to your computer's USB port. The power on the MP3 player must be turned off when completing this step. If your MP3 is frozen, unable to be powered down, use the push pin to push the "Reset" button on the bottom of the device.

Let go of the "Menu" button on the player once the "Found New Hardware" screen appears. When asked if Windows can connect to Windows Update to perform a search for the necessary software, click "Yes, this time only," then click the "Next" button.

Choose "Install from a list or specific location(advanced)" to determine where Windows should look for the driver files, then click on the "Next" button.

Place a check mark in the box labeled "Include this location in the search," then click "Browse." You can search for the directory location where you saved the driver file in Step 1. Double-click the driver package and select the "usb_driver" sub folder as the driver location. Click "OK," then "Next."

Select the "m3usb" file from the "usb_driver" folder when prompted on the next screen, then click "Open" and "OK." The "Completing New Found Hardware" screen will appear once the drivers have been successfully installed, then press "Finish."

Unplug the Coby MP3 player from your computer.

Double-click the "USB tool" EXE that is located in the "MP3 Firmware Update" folder that you downloaded in Step 1. The USB Tool application's welcome screen appears on your computer.

Press the "Menu" button on the Coby MP3, holding it down as you reconnect it to your computer. Your MP3 is now identified as "Device 0" within the USB Tool, and you have a yellow-colored status box when connected.

Click "Burn NAND" to begin the firmware correction process. After about four or five minutes, you receive a notification saying, "Burn Task Completed."

Disconnect the MP3 player from your computer, and wait for the device to power up completely.

Click the next series of green boxes that have red lines going through them on the screen with your finger or a stylus until the menu appears. You see them in the top-right and lower-left corners of the MP3's screen as calibration on the device is being completed. The firmware is now installed.
