Mitsubishi WD-62526 Projection TV Questions & Answers
Mitsubishi WD-62526 turns on-n-off
I would bet the illumination lamp has reached the end of it's life (~$40 online). Should be easy to replace. Also possible the ventilation vents need cleaning, which could cause the lamp to overheat and turn off.

Volumn goes up & down especially when static or
your tv has become to sensitive. could be threw the electric supply or the infrared board. if it is electric you will need to find the appliance that when it use the consumption more. you can use an old analog radio and go round the house with it out of signal listening for buzzing sound. sometimes it is the fuse box or a wire in the wall some were.failing that just change the inferred board and hope for the best but it will come back if there is and electrical fault. had this a few weeks ago in a friends house turnd out to be the fuse breaker changed it and it was fine even his phone works better now as well.

I replaced Lamp and now the TV want come on and the lamp light is blinking.
Very common in these sets and two things for YOU to look for.1. Remove lamp and inspect the 2 pin socket it engages--very easy to if installing a lamp bend the socket a little out of position and lamp does not go in correctly---from the inside rear two small screws hold that socket in position--in this case what I do is loose or remove the screws, insert the lamp and then put the socket to the lamp and replace the two screws, that way you know its on right and is lined up correctly.Frankly, the socket is way to flimsy and this happens a lot.Second and less likely there may be a lot of dust on fans etc inside, have had to use a compressor and dust out more than one of these sets (if do that, do it outside as it may look like a dust storm).

Has no sound
You clearly could have a audio problem in the set but:Look in set menu to see if speakers are turned ON or OFF.Look at set and a cable, sat box or receiver to see if sound is turned low or muted etc.See if set has sound when a DVD etc is imputed to the rear audio/video jacks--if it works that way the set is good and you have a problem with settings somewhere.A last resort is most of the Mitsubishi sets have a hard reset done by entering a hidden menu with the remote--sets everything back to factory original.

What does it mean when the status light is
When the status light is blinking push the device and menu buttons on the tv at the same time and hold for 5 seconds or more. The red light will then blink a code. It will blink like 3 times, pause, then blink like 5 times. That would be a code of 35. It may blink one time long, then two short blinks. That is not a code blink but indicates another problem. Do a search for the service manual for your tv on the internet and look up the code. Sometimes it is as simple as a dirty fan that won't turn any more. But by knowing the codes you will know if you need a technician or if it is something simple.

Mitsubishi wd62526 tv has a
Bypassing the V-Chip Lock
After you set the lock, you need your passcode to view a V-Chip locked program, view the locked TV, cancel the lock, or enter the V-Chip Lock menus.
If you forget your passcode, you can view the locked TV without entering your passcode. This is done by pressing the number 9 and QV buttons on the TV remote control at the same time, when your passcode is requested. This process temporarily unlocks the TV.
When entering the V-Chip Lock menu, this process deletes your old passcode and prompts you to enter a new passcode. Press HOME to exit the menu.
Bypassing Front Button Lock
If you have misplaced the remote control, you can bypass the front button lock by pressing and holding the MENU button on the front panel for more than 8 seconds

Powers on blue screen,no picture, some red lines
You might wish to unplug the TV for an hour or more. If this power reset does not allow the TV to turn on component failure is indicated. These sets are assembled using the wave soldering process they are known for having cold solder connections.
The safety circuitry shuts the TV set down or will keep it from turning on when it detects a problem. This model of TV has over 2,000 parts, which includes millions of transistors inside the integrated circuits. The capacitors will change value, leak and become defective. Resistors will change value and burn. Diodes and IC can go bad.
This may have a domino effect and cause other parts to fail. Replacing one defective part may make the TV operate for a short time but the part will fail again if the parts that caused the failure to begin with are not replaced.
The only way to know for sure which parts that are no longer within factory specs and for a proper repair all the electronics must be diagnosed by someone with the correct electronic test equipment specifically designed for TV service and the skills to use the test equipment. I wish I could tell you there was a quick fix or button to push that would fix the TV but that is not the case or the solution needed to get the TV operating correctly.

Vertical amp chip needs re soldering.--- very common !
Vertical amp chip has failed and needs replacing !
Failure of electrolytic capacitors in vertical circuit
Failure of resisters that supply volts to the vertical circuit
Failure of deflection yoke ( not very common )
Also it might be a convergence board failure. Changing one board will not necessarily fix it. It is recommended to change all 3 boards in the unit. many try this as a DIY and fall afoul because it is a specialist job to retune and reset the parameters. The cost then becomes greater than if a tech did it correctly the first time. Be advised it is not a simple DIY.It requires soldering and desoldering skills, specialized tools and a knowledge of circuit diagrams.

Don't know how to take
If you're looking at the tv from the back there is a square shaped panel with 2 screws on the extreme left side. Unplug your tv and remove the 2 screws. Underneath you will see the lamp cartridge being held in by 2 screws. Loosen completely (they should not come all the way out) and remove the lamp cartridge. Replace with 915P028010. Goodluck.
