Hi,

That is very common for a gas dryer that has a hot surface ignitor. The ignitor needs to pull XX number of amps. current draw for the gas valve to open...sometimes it does and you get heat, but many times it will not pull quite enough and you get no heat...

if the filter is on top then it's in the rear,if the filter is inside,remove the bottom panel,remove the lint filter and then remove the duct that the filter slides into,you'll see the thermal fuse located on the top right hand side of the blower wheel housing,if the fuse is popped then you need to clean out the dryer and the vent line or it will keep popping until it's cleaned,clean out the duct that the filter slides into,remove the vent line from the back of the dryer and if it's a long run blow it out with a leaf blower,make sure the outside hood is clear first so the lint will blow outside and vac out the inside cabinet where the motor is,mkae sure the dryer is unpluged before you go into it and when checking any part with a meter at least one of the wires have to be removed or you won't get a correct reading.let me know how you make out

sounds like a venting problem, check vent tube for restrictions, you can take the tube off and run the dryer, should have hot air blowing out, if you do then it is the vent tube if not then you will have to clean the inside of the dry out with a vacuum. Good Luck Tim

Good day,
There is a pressure regulator built into the gas valve, so no, if you mean an external pressure regulator. If the dryer had previously ran on propane, then the valve would have to be converted back.
I'm assuming your using a standard gas line with gas supplied by a normal utility company.

Hi there....this sounds to be like you blew the breaker. Go to your breaker panel in your house and search out the fuse for the dryer. This will be a double 110 volt breaker. You need to reset both sides to be sure. It is easily locatable as they almost always have the items listed on the inside of the door of the panel. If this works for you great. either the door switch has goen bad, you can physically push in out( breaks easy). if thats seems to function then perhaps your blown thermal fuse. this would disable the entire machine located on rear of unit simple continuity test would see of good or not

Clogged Vent
If your dryer seems to run forever, it could be because of a clogged vent or internal ductwork. Your dryer may have an automatic cycle that turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry. It does this with a special thermostat or moisture-sensing system.
Normally, this is what happens during an automatic cycle:
The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a pre-set temperature--say 135 degrees.
When the dryer reaches the pre-set temperature, the thermostat tells the timer to begin advancing. (If there's a moisture sensor, the timer advances only if the moisture content of the clothing is low enough.)
The timer advances until the interior cools, then the thermostat tells the timer to stop advancing, and tells the dryer to start heating again.
This cycle continues until the clothes are dry. But...if the vent is clogged, the dryer may never reach the proper operating temperature, so it doesn't send the signal to the timer and the dryer continues to run indefinitely, even if the clothes are completely dry. To fix the problem, clean the vent and/or internal ductwork.

Cycling thermostat
Although this isn't a common problem, one of the thermostats that controls the temperature in your dryer may break and cause the dryer to heat poorly. If so, you need to replace it. The thermostat is usually a small, round, black device mounted to an oblong steel plate. The plate is mounted to the internal ductwork . This thermostat usually has four wires going to it. Check the 2 terminals that are opposite each other and are the closer together of the 2. These 2 terminals should have continuity. If not replace the thermostat.

This symptom indicates a stuck key on the user interface control board.
Replacing this control board would most likely fix this type of problem.

NOTE: You should only attempt this procedure if you are completely confident in your technical ability to safely execute the process.
Follow electrical safety guidelines. Unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

Before buying any parts I suggest you access the interface ribbon and disconnect it and then connect it back and see if there is any improvement.

You might also remove the interface from the console and check the console for any stuck buttons.

Remember to unplug the washer first.
