Brew basket blocked or seal above brew basket hard or faulty or it could even be an internal leak exiting around the brew basket once it comes under pressure.
I have a brand new Kitchenaid Artisan, which works
If it is a 5KES100 model then yes that's how you do it, you get your hot water from the steam boiler so the steam needs to be released before the water can come through. Turn the tap wide open and press and hold the steamer pump button. The rush of steam on full open is short lived.

Not much pressure when heating up milk or creating
Hi, it should be pumping when doing these functions.Sounds like the pump is starting to fault. The pump still might be working, but not at the correct pressure. Before replacing the pump, you would need to check the thermal cutout/overload sensor which is positioned on the boiler. Using a meter it should read (approx 12kOmhs). The boiler element could also be failing. If the machine is not hot enough, it reduces the pressures. Dazza REPAIRER

Kitchen aid coffee pot says error 2
An ERR 2 may be cleared by a simple reset of the coffee maker. This
means unplugging the unit and plugging it back in. When powered back
on, select a brew function to see if the error reappears.
If it does, ERR 2 indicates an internal error with the computer of the
warming plate. This may be covered under Kitchenaid's 1 Year Hassle
Free Warranty. I would advise you to call Kitchenaid Customer Service
to see what options are available to you. Repair is not recommended, as
it is not cost effective for the company or the consumer.
Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-541-6390.

Filter fills up with water
Here's a few pointers:
1. Make sure that you're using an appropriate paper filter that fits your maker.
2. If you're grinding your own coffee beans, don't grind them too fine.
3. Try a smaller amount of coffee. You may be surprised that if you get it balanced, it may make stronger coffee with less grounds.
4.Cleaning can be easier if you use a small amount of automatic dishwasher powder in hot water and a veggie brush... it'll cut the coffee pretty well.
on a side note, check out a "french press" coffee pot... I just got one recently and they're incredible. If you like full bodied coffee without the bitterness... this is a really great way to make coffee. hope all these suggestions help you out today...

Operating manual for kitchen aid coffee machine
Manuals and guides may be located online at KITCHENAID.COM.
In the upper-right hand corner of the site, click on CUSTOMER CARE and then click on LOCATE MANUALS AND GUIDES.
It will then ask you for your model number.
For a coffee maker, the model number is located on a white sticker underneath the machine.
On the website, type in your model number exactly as it appears on this sticker and click GO.
This will then bring up the literature listing for your particular unit. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the files.
Also, Kitchenaid Customer Service will send you a physical copy of an instruction manual at no charge if you choose to call them. Their toll-free telephone number is:
1.800.541.6390.
