I have a Kenmore model 141.16681 and gas now leaks at the regulator valve
check regulator to see that the rubber seal in the tank coupling is still good if this has perished or fallen out this maybe the cause of gas at this point.best purchase a new regulator if it seems faulty, this part is your life saver, and after 8 years good service could well need replacement.I hope this was useful.
I have a kenmore ellite bbq model 141.16691
Many manufacturers make grills in propane and natural gas, but are not convertible from one gas type to another. The reason being safety. Each grill model, whether it's Natural Gas or Propane is tested and approved for that one specific gas type and that alone. Converting it would put all the responsibility on you, if something was to go wrong.
I suspect in part, the reason you want to convert is so that you want have to refill the propane tank any longer. But, you may want to consider this against convenience. Propane Gas burns cleaner and hotter than Natural Gas in an outdoor environment. Which boils down to lower high end temperatures, longer preheating times and the expense of running an approved gas line to the grill for Natural Gas. Not to mention the cost conversion parts.
But, the decision is yours to make. Thanks for choosing FixYa.
Were do I find grill cover # 15808
Since it's a Kenmore grill and Kenmore is a house brand name of Sears. Have you tried calling your local Sears or K-Mart store? If you did and weren't successful, simply measure your grill (Height, Width & Depth) and armed with that information, visit any home improvement center or hardware store that sells grills and accessories and I'm sure you will find one that fits.
Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

Question, when you pull off the knob do you see a screw on the front of the valve? Since the grill was converted, there are times where manufacturers use gas specific valves and the screw is there as an adjustment. Let me know.
Kenmore Gas grill is not igniting
Check the piezoelectric ignition button wiring, check to make sure it isn't exposed or shorting somewhere. Take it out and see if you can get a spark across just the wires.
Do natural gas grills need a regulator
it is best to have an external regulator. There may be some grills that don't require such a regulator but it is never wrong to use one. Not using one could, under some circumstance, lead to a varying flame when other gas appliances turn on and off.
Ignitor doesn't click, spark or light gas
When my 2-year-old grill quit supplying a spark to light either the grill or the side burner, I removed the battery/start button and noticed droplets of water inside.
So I removed the ignitor unit. When I shook it, I could hear water sloshing inside, probably because I'm too lazy to put the cover on the grill after using it.
The part was going to be about $40 with shipping.
I shook out all the water I could, but still no spark.
Remembering a tip I'd heard about wet cell phones, I sealed the ignitor unit in a bag of dry white rice and left it on the grill in the Florida sun for a couple of days. Lots of condensation showed up on the plastic bag.
Shocking discovery: after two days in the plastic bag, I shook out residual rice, replaced the battery and button, pushed it, and the sparks tingled my fingers pretty well! Lots of volts!
Also works fine in the grill again. Probably works on all brands of grill ignitors...
