If working fine do not worry about it. However, you can always throw a blanket or something over the top to insulate more and cut down on losses.

If its in defrost mode it will get warm and the frost will melt. People usually just unplug them. Tge compressor usually has a switch or temp knob. It may be in back by the compressor underneaith. There would be an indicator as to the temp.setting on it. It may not have one at all and may have another issue.

I have found that the best cleaners for removing left over odors are citrus based cleaners. They help to neutralize odors and prevent re-occurrence. You could also use a diluted bleach as well to sanitize the inside. Make sure it is not too potent or the bleach odor will overcome the bad odor in annoyance.

When changing the battery it should be a alakline. Also try unplugging the unit and then back in again. Check to see if the sides are getting warm which will indicate the compressor is running. Make sure the compressor is running. Check to see if thermostat is up high enough. The unit may have an electronic board that may be the problem. And lastly, it could have a sealed system problem, like a freon leak. You didn't say how old the unit is.

Probably a freon lean and not worth repairing. You can never find the leak in a chest freezer. Recharging will buy a little time but you can never reallly trust it again.

Make sure you have power going to the unit. Check the thermostat for power on both sides going in and coming out. You need to give me more info. before I can suggest anything else.

LOW / NO BATTERY ALARM The Low/No battery alarm will activate when the power level of the battery becomes low. The light may be staying on and creating heat, or the unit thinks the door is still open. Or the door seal is worn and is letting cold out. Or It needs gas. Question edited for full 'make model (what it is). Question moved to Maker category. 'FF' is Fast Freeze. Do a Power Reset. Disconnect from the mains for 5 minutes and plug back in. If that doesn't fix it, you will need a service call. It may have leaked refrigerant gas.
