I don't have a Kenmore

With the older models of self-cleaning ovens one could put aluminum foil on the bottom tray of the oven, but with the newer models there is a warning (hidden in the last line) of your booklet for models of stoves where aluminum foil should 'not' be used! Even though print in small and many consumers are complaining regarding their stoves and melted aluminum stuck to the bottom tray of their oven (nothing will get it off) all manufacturer do 'not' cover this problem under warranty and thus, it will cost you money to buy a new tray. You unscrew the two screws to the bottom of the damaged tray of your oven and then install the new one and put back the screws. Letters of complaint should be written to the manufacturers to have them put this warning in clear bold print right on the front cover of the instruction brochure.

I have burned on foil on bottom of oven, how do I

Actually you can remove the foil but it will take patience and several hours. This is what I recommend. BE CAREFUL, remove as much of the foil as possible then turn oven on to 200 degrees. Lay an old wet bath towel on top and use a plastic spatula to remove the foil. Be patient, keep the towel wet and expect this proceedure to take several hours. Do not leave the oven on and go to bed.

What does it mean when the oven beep and F10 is on the screen

Go online and type in your model number and ask what the F10 code means. Every stove is slightly different. Mine did the same thing and the F2 code came on. Meant the sensor was gone and I replaced it in 10 minutes for under $80. Even a novice can do it. Perhaps same with yours, perhaps not.

I have kenmore model 790.75762001 turn on oven it

It is quite possibly the "sensor" which is defective and is sensing the temperature is too hot and shutting off as a safety feature. For about $70 and virtually 10 minutes work, you can replace it yourself. I have had great luck with "Appliance Zone" for parts. Be certain to take note of how the sensor is positioned on the back of the stove BEFORE you remove it. DO NOT put the connections back inside the insulation. You usually remove a couple of screws on the back to get to the sensor. If it appears to be charred or melted, pretty good indication it is the sensor.

Due to a power outage i am now not able to set the

Yes you must unplug this stove wait for 5 minutes and the plug it back up, push the off button and this should reset the oven, if that does not work the circuit breaker has been tripped, it may look to be in the on postition, but you will need to move to the off postion and back to the on postion this should correct the problem

Melted aluminum foil

Hi there,

Steel wool is the best bet, but it would be easier to replace the floor panel. I had a customer do the same thing. depending on how bad it is replacement mat be a easier option, about $35 for the new panel, and about a month to get the part. two screws on the floor of the oven next to the back wall. The manual does say not to use foil on the oven floor.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

HI. this is a board failure code. try to revive it by shutting the power down for 30 seconds. if this dose not produce positive results, you will need to replace the damaged oven control board.

When I hit the bake or broil button it says door.

There's usually a fuse inside that is burned up. you need to remove the panel to get to it.

Kenmore oven wont work

Hi, The most common issue when the oven doesn't work is the ignitor. You can open the door and remove the floor panel inside the oven. Start the bake and see if the ignotor glows. It probibly will but, that doesn't mean it is ok. It just means the ignitor is getting voltage. When the ignitor is glowing, you can try (BE CAREFULL not to be to close to the buner) and tap on the side of the gas valve with the handle of a screwdriver. If the gas ignites, you will need to change that ignitor.
Again, this is very common.
Please let me know if this helps you or if I can assist you further.

Shuts off when preheating with F3 or F6 error

The F3 error on this model is an open thermostat circuit. The F6 is a control or loss of power. Make sure the unit is plugged into a good 120 Volt outlet. Test this outlet with a power drill or lamp, wiggle cord in receptacle, if no other test experience or equipment is avaliable. Check the thermostate in the oven for physical damage. There may be a loose connection in the oven. This would require a good technican to find.

Tin foil melted in my oven.

hi floppy,

if you can't scrape most of it off with a plastic scraper, you may have to buy a new bottom pan. if you can get most of it off it should be ok to use. also if you have propane gas make sure your stove was converted properly.

How can I remove oven door so that I can replace the broken glass

I just took my oven door off and took it apart to clean the glass inside. I don't have a maytag but they probably all work alike. Just open the door like you are going to broil something and just lift it up. It should slide right off. Shouldn't have to unscrew anything. Hope this helps. Arlene

Set oven for 350 and won't climb past 177. funny

The oven probably got switched from showing degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius. (350 F = 177 C.) Try resetting that before you replace any parts.
