While wathing movie by acer 3260 laptop video & audio slow
Hello sanjeev_vada,
This procedure is from the windows media player help file.I hope it's useful:
-------------------------
*To play content at variable speeds*
You can change the speed at which content plays in the Player. For example, you can slow down the playback speed if you are taking notes while watching a training video, or you can speed up the slow sections of a presentation.
•Begin playing a file.
•Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, point to Enhancements, and then click Play Speed Settings.
•Move the Play Speed slider to the speed at which you want to play the content, or click the Slow, Normal, or Fast link.
•To select speeds between the labeled play speeds, in the Enhancements pane, clear the Snap slider to common speeds check box.
•To hide the settings, click the Close button in the Enhancements pane.

If this solution is helpful please click 'YES' by 'Was this helpful?' below.
Have a great day,

MPEG video plays only sound, not picture
I think it might be either a CODEC or memory issue. The CODEC thing can be solved by downloading the K-Lite CODEC pack, which you can find free via an internet search (see below). The memory issue is harder to solve. You need to see when you are playing the video if your CPU is running very high. If it is then you will struggle to play the track on your current computer without improving the memory. However I think it more likely that it is a CODEC issue since both the players you mention are not set up to play some MPEG files, as not all CODEC's are included.
You can download the CODECS here:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/windows_7_codec_pack.html
However always use the advanced option for installing as they do like to put on software that might change your default browser. You can decline these with that option.
Some people use VLC player, but all though this will play just about every video file, it will turn the icons into a thing that looks like a traffic cone! So I don't recommend it.
