To get the old grips off, use gasoline, lighter fluid or kerosene. This will get under the old grip and it will come off easy. Another way is to take a knife and cut the grip then use a screwdriver to open up the cut and pry off the old grip. To put the new grip on, spray a little WD-40 on the handlebars and the new grip will go right on.

It is according to what your crank design is. 1st. design. This is a solid crank. Look at your crank. One side will have a nut, and a race with slots in it. If this is yours then you take off the pedal on the side of the nut. Now take off the nut, use a screwdriver to remove the race. Pull that bearing out, then push the crank through the opening, removing the other bearing. If you have a multiple speed bike you have to remove the sprockets first. 2nd design. After removing the sprockets there is a bolt holding the crank arms on the shaft that the bearing are on. Remove the cranks and then remove the bearings the same as above.

in the middle of handlebars you will see a hexadon bolt,when you got your new bike the right angle wrench should have been with it if so place the wreanch onto the bolt and turn anticlockwise this will loosen the nut,then pull the handlebars up until the wright is achived make sure they are straight then turn the wrench clockwise until it tightens,.Adrian....

First turn the adjuster on the rear brake handle all the way in and make sure the slots on the adjuster and set nut are lined up, pull the brake cable out and leave it attached to the lever to open the rear brake pads, loosen the bolts on the tire and pull the derailer up to remove the tire, remove the dustcap from tube and using a flat tool (Wal-Mart has tire tools for $1) take one side of the tire bead out of the rim, pull the old tube out, place the stem of the new tube in the hole and put the cap on, tuck the new tube in the tire trying to keep it flat as possible, push the bead of the tire back into the rim. before inflating the tire, put it back on the frame while pulling the derailer up to get the chain back on the cogs( they will adjust later) tighten the bolts and inflate the tire to desired pressure (between 35-60 psi)

Mongoose is the run of the mill brand on the utilitarian side. They are a perfect step for a kid or an adult getting into biking. All aluminum is great because it is so light weight but that is pretty much the normal material for bikes these days. If you become a serious biker you will find out what you do and do not need by riding a Mongoose.

It should say on the side of the tire "Inflate to -- psi" I would say in the 35-50 psi range.
