One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive
Test the leads that attach to your ((hard drive from the motherboard)) or replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your ((motherboard to hard drive))
or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

Your computer cannot read your copy of Windows from your 'C:' disk-drive.
You need to purchase a replacement disk-drive, and re-install Windows onto the new disk-drive.
I hope that you have a good backup of all your files!

The PXE is a component of your computer's network controller.
1) Press the F2 menu on your keyboard and Setup Utility and click the Boot Tab. Press F12 and check the default settings like the IDE 0 and Network Boot.
2) If you do not notice any hard disk drive, it indicates the absence of a hard drive or hard disk failure.
3) Perform factory reset in your computer and you will restore the default settings of your computer.

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 083)

WOW! after having to pay $$$$ to have my power supply jack "reinforced" (with a 'hot glue gun" the tech told me), because the Toshiba design was not as sturdy as one might like, I was nearly crushed when after less than 14 days I received the black screen and the error notice: "Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 083) For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller yada yada yada..." It is possible to start the computer in Safe Mode- to create a repair disk if you need one and back-up your data files. Timing is critical.... press the start button and be ready to begin pressing the F8 key immediately upon seeing the Toshiba screen, you should receive the options of how to start your computer. If you want to gain access to the BIOS setup, when you press your power button start pressing F2 immediately, where you can then check to see if your system is able to see your hard drive. NO hard drive showing... don't cry yet.... seems that after a bit of road wear, some of the fittings wear loose. Therefore, after doing your backups etc, shut down the computer properly. THEN- remove the battery. Carefully unscrew the cover where the hard drive lives. Carefully pop the cover off, which reveals the hard drive. Using one finger on the securing bracket, lift the hard-drive by only using the sides to touch the device pulling it gently from the "plug". Examine for any debry, you can blow it out with canned air if you feel it is necessary. Look for any worn or scorched contacts- if all looks well, reinsert. The fix - using 1 1/4" (1/4") insulation foam, cut pieces appropriate to apply pressure toward the plug, creating a very snug fit and not interfering with replacing the cover properly. Now replace the cover and be sure to fasten the screws very securely. Replace the battery. You may have to go through one request of how you want to start your computer- and I suggest using safe mode once again and then shutting down the windows normally. The next time you press the power button- hit F2 to go to the BIOS to check to see if the hard drive is now being seen.... if it has 're-appeared", things are looking up. Exit the BIOS and shut down the computer one more time. Now press the power button...... If this was the problem....it should start normally. The cost is a little of your time and the insulation foam, bought at the local hardware store.

I do not believe there is anything to de-activate! but if your computer rather strangely I would have a professional look at it as it might be compromise.

Why does my acer asprie 5742 keep clearing my cache?
METHOD 1: Reset Corrupt Thumbnail Cache Folder
First of all try to reset thumbnail cache folder so that it starts storing thumbnail cache files from scratch.
1. Press Win+R keys together to launch RUN dialog box, then type following string in RUN box and press Enter:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
Replace Username with your correct Windows user account name.
If the above trick doesn't work for you. Type appdata in RUN dialog box and press Enter. It'll open AppData folder. Now go to "Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer" folder.
2. Once you open Explorer folder, select all files/folders present inside it and delete them.
Some files might remain in the folder. Leave them and restart your computer. Now Windows should create thumbnail cache without any problem and it'll not delete them again.
