Kenmore elite 596 with water

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Freezer & fridge have stopped

If there is no cooling at all , before we go further we must confirm the first step of confirming the compressor and gas pressure. So shut off the fridge and leave it off while you clean and check the evaporator for frost. If frost is seen it is a good indication as the compressor is working with sufficient gas within. Now after about 6 hours plug in the fridge to start. Observe cooling to happen in about one hour and ice to from under three hours.Earlier make sure that the thermostat was set to normal mode for freezer and fridge. If there is no ice formation we have a big issue as the compressor and gas must be checked out. If compressor is running check the pressure, get help to test gas pressure. If not you will need to fill up ,If gas pressure is good the possibility of the compressor being inefficient is high. In such a case you must take consensus to estimate and decide, if RPM of motor is low check capacitor. However if Ice forms then observe the fridge for about 24 hours for cooling to continue and the fridge to cut off. If not the auto defrost timer, or the thermostat must be checked.

The ventilation fan that circulates the COLD air from the evaporator coils could get clogged with frost and so could be jammed. Also the wires to the fan can be worn out due to the frost. If so check if the defrost timer works to switch the heater to remove the frost. Also the check if the compressor is shut down by the timer /thermostat . If the heaters are not working, check continuity of the heaters. So attempt to test using a multi-meter / clamp tester from the outside and make your observations so that we come to the solution.

Kenmore 795.7731 Fridge warm;freezer cold - Error er dH

I faced the same problem for Kenmore elite Trio Model # 795.77543600 bottom freezer refrigerator. The issue as pointed out by Medeer on fixya.com, turned out to be the part called component assembly, part number 6615JB2005H. I got this replaced yesterday but for 4 hours I did not notice any cooling... so I thought it did not work.... but then in the morning I notice that the issue has been resolved, the refrigerator is cold and there is no eR dH error message. Thanks to all who shared on this site.

I have the bottom freezer

There should be a light switch inside each compartment, depress them with the door open one at a time, locate the bad switch and disconnect it. You can remove the bulbs too. Most of the problems with bottom freezer are the door, they seem to not get closed properly and they get heavily frosted, once frosted they seem not to close correctly and cause the lights to remain on.
I would look for the problem with the door closing or the door switch failing. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

Inside water dispenser is leaking

Hi,

If your chest freezer is showing signs of age, it may begin leaking. There are a few methods for troubleshooting faulty chest freezers but knowing some of the obvious signs of why it might leak can be very useful if you need to fix it yourself. Leaking is not limited to older models so be aware that certain maintenance procedures can help prevent leaks in newer models.
Understanding Changeable Parts Prior to Troubleshooting There are not that many serviceable or changeable parts inside a chest freezer. A chest freezer works on a very simple basis. It contains evaporator coils, condenser coils, a compressor, a compressor overload, a relay and a thermostat. These are the basic moving parts of a chest freezer but some of them are not serviceable.
The condenser coils condense the water and the evaporator coils disperse excess water caused by the freezing process. The compressor is a heating component which compresses excess water and recycles it through the system.
Defrosting Remove the contents of your chest freezer and place them in an alternative area to keep them frozen. Unplug and defrost your chest freezer before you do any troubleshooting or maintenance. Wipe and clean the inside of the freezer so that when you plug it back in it, will free of any grime or loose bits of debris. A clean freezer will also help to promote visibility when it comes to fixing leaks.
Where is the Leak? Once you have defrosted your freezer, you need to establish which part of the freezer the leak is coming from. It could be coming from the inside of the freezer and this would indicate a thermostat issue. Alternatively, it could be coming from the freezing unit at the back of the freezer. Water always finds a way to escape so your leak could be restricted to one place but the actual cause could be elsewhere. Locate the drain tube which is normally found at the back of the freezer. You will probably have to unscrew or unclip the backing panel.
Check the Drain Hole If the drain hole on your chest freezer has become blocked for any reason, you will need to clear it thoroughly to continue getting the best performance from your chest freezer. The drain hole is a component within the lower works of the freezer through which excess water runs to be recycled.
Compressor Issues Your chest freezer contains a compressor which evaporates the excess water from the freezer. The freezer will defrost excess ice and the water flows down the drain tube to a pan where the heat of the compressor evaporates the water. If your compressor has failed, the leak will be caused by the water failing to evaporate. Have a repair contractor replace your compressor or, if this is not cost-effective, you may need to buy a new freezer.
Thermostat If your freezer is not freezing at all and is dispersing water in several places, you may well have a thermostat failure. Check that your freezer is cycling correctly prior to making changes or altering the thermostat. Only if the freezer is not cycling are you likely to need to change the thermostat. If you have checked all the parts of your freezer and you still cannot locate the leak, calling in a service technician might be the best answer.

Hoping this will help to solve the problem....

I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running

I have a Kenmore bottom

:

Hi!
That is probably the compressor relay
The relay is on the compressor and needs replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
