Have you tried going into your Mobile Networks and Network Operators settings? In the Mobile Networks settings, you should find "Network Mode". Check to make sure that is in "GSM/WCDMA (auto mode)" If that doesn't work, try clicking the "Network Operators" in the same settings group and then hit "Search networks".

You more than likely have a bug from a download. I have the same exact phone and have updated it as well with no problems.

Sounds like something has hit your screen and pretty hard at that, id replace it beacuse the crystals in the screen are leaking out and the class probably has micro cracks that bend the screen in but not visably. I'd replace the screen or just get a new one.

check phone settings to make sure they are correct. If that don;t work send phone into get repaired your button circuit is failing.

take out battery. Make sure phone did not get wet and than short out. resert battery power up and try and use. Also most phones will let you use other buttons to access things.

When files are "deleted" they are not actually removed from your iPhone, until something else overwrites them. So by saving anything else to them you may have overwritten them. 1. Turn the phone off.
2. Press and hold the Power/Lock key (on the right side of the phone) and the Down Volume key (on the left side of the phone) at the same time.
