Fridge/freezer works fine but a squiling sound is
Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
This usually happens, if there is excess choking from ice in the evaporator coils...The excess frosted ice in the chamber extends to the evaporator fan, thus trying to choke/stop the fan... Whenever the fan gets start pulse from the controls, it hurdles the movement and the noise comes. Remove the blockage to the fan (if any), else you need to change the fan motor bearings...
Best of Luck,

I have a kenmore freezer on top model and I
It could be that the cooling fins/coils inside the freezer had got clogged with ice and reduce the pumping and cutting off of the compressor resulting in building up pressure on the system. First of all I would like you to shut off the fridge and allow the ice to drain off, after about 8 hours plug it on and see if the fault is recurring. If so you willhave to check on the thermostat for failure to cut off.It is possible that the leads are damaged or corroded which must be traced into the freezer cooling section. The auto timer could be faulty to set off the heater which also can be a culprit. You will have to check one by one to eliminate and go forward. Hope you get this right and proceed. Good day

Hi,
As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or
refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are
also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or
buzzing then check out the last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start
trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling
a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

Fridge not cool enough but frosty at the back
Since you are getting frost in you frost free refrigerator, tell me that the defrost circuit has a problem. It is made of a defrost timer/module, defrost heater and defrost thermostat. What should happen is that the defrost timer should periodically turn off the compressor for about 30 minutes and turn power to the defrost heater via the thermostat. The heater is attached to the evaporator coil and melts any frost build up on those coils.
It sounds like the defrost circuit has not been working for a while because the ice build up is not allowing the air to circulate around the coils to cool the refrigerator. The typical failures to the defrost circuit are the defrost timer motor fails to advance, or the defrost heater burns out. Hope this helps you.
Freezer works but refrigerator does not get cold
Check for the following
1. Block in the fan to blow cool air into the vent.
2.faulty gaskets in the fridge door
3.failure of the auto defrost build up frost to block the vent.check the timer.
4. Finally check if the thermostat is set right, choose a mid point.
Freezer door pops open when the frig door under it
I am going to send a quick response here to try and catch you. If you need more help just respond and I will get back to you. Check the freezer cabinet drain. If they are clogged the door can and will pop open when the other door is closed. The air baffle between fresh food and freezer allows for the air passage. the compartment drain acts as a pressure relief when it is clear. If it is clogged usually over time you notice ice building up in the freezer section faster than normal or will have this occasional leak out the front. If it keeps doing this after your sure the compartment drain is clear, you may have to replace the door seal. FYI the compartment drain terminates into a plastic catch basin under your refrigerator. If the darin hose is under water it can get covered with gunk and act s a plug. Make sure the drain hose at the drip pan is NOT under water and that the end of the hose is free of debris.
Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Ice build up around fan in frezeer.makes looud
The defrost circuit has failed. Typical failures are the defrost heater has opened, the defrost timer if equiped, is not advancing or the defrost thermostat is open. To check the heater, melt the ice, and use a meter to check if the heating elements are open, if they are, then you will need to replace the heating element.
We had our Kenmore Freezer on top delivered this
as it was delivered this morning you should have left it upright/unpluged for 24 hours, then switched it on.switching it on staight away will not harm it but it will take its own time to settle down to the set temperature.also make sure the seals fit flat all round.and the unit sits square (use a spirit level and adjust feet if required.)may sound minor but some units run noisy if out of square.....
Water in the refrigerator There is water build up
Remove the food and the ice maker from the freezer ( if equiped ) . Remove the rear freezer panel . Using a hair dryer , start in the middle , below the coils , defrosting , until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help defrost the hole . Once water starts going thru the hole , use a small hose inserted into the hole , and blow thru , to remove any unseen debris in the drain line . Use an ALUMINUM or COPPER solid wire , 14-16 guage , with the insulation completely off , and insert one end into the drain hole as far as possible without any force . Wrap the other end about 1 1/2 to 2 turns , around the black rod (defrost heater) , above the hole . When refrig goes into defrost , the heat will transfer from the heater , to the wire , keeping the hole from freezing up again .
Refrigerator not getting cold
Hi,from your problem it's obvious that the compressor is running out of gas or it has insufficient pressure to supply gas throughout the cooling compartment.
The solution is to refill the compressor with freon gas and service the compressor thoroughly.
Thanks and take care
Even though I connected the waterline, there is no
BACK OF THE FRIDGE IS THE WATER VALVE. UNPLUG THE OUTLET WATER OF THE VALVES, LEAVE THE INLET CONNECTED. APPLY 120 TO THE VALVE AND SEE IF WATER COMES OUT. MOST LIKELY YOU HAVE TWO VALVE, WATER AND ICE. IF THEY BOTH WORK, YOU HAVE A BAD MODULE IN THE ICEMAKER
