I have a kenmore side

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it.
If it runs then that cold control is the problem.
If this doesn't work Do this

That is probably the compressor relay or cold control (Thermostat
The relay is on the compressor and needs replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.

Have a Kenmore side by

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.

Freezer ok, ont cooling on

First thing to check is if the evaporator fan motor is running behind the rear panel in the inside of the freezer if you cannot feel the air flowing replace the motor. If when you take the rear panel off giving you access to the evaporator coil you find that the evaporator coil is iced up or has any ice build up on it you would have to defrost this ice build up and if you had this build up this is known as a defrost issue in which either the defrost thermostat, the defrost heater, or the defrost timer or adaptive control board has a fault. I will await your reply till after you remove the rear panel on the inside of the freezer before giving further solution due to if there is no ice build up and if the fan motor is working then you would look at the refrigerator side either the diverter aka damper door or the refrigerator thermostat control. Thanks again I await your reply to your finds

Why does Ice build up

The water is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water draining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing, in many case when the floor indent is full the water will leak onto the floor.By pulling the refrigerator out from the wall, there will be a tube behind the service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear, that tube can be removed and cleared, then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

I hope this helps you to stop the leak,
Gene

Hi

Please check the water inlet valve, it might be frozen or blocked with mineral deposit. Use a hair dryer to remove the blockage. Make sure the water inlet valve's screen is not blocked. If the issue persists, then the water inlet valve has gone bad, use a multimeter to test the water inlet valve's continuity. Use a multimeter to test the continuity. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Kenmore Elite refridgerator

The best way it to buy a coil brush and use your vacuum as you clean. A coil brush is long and skinny and can be bent to reach in tough spots. Some people will blow it out with an air compressor but it is very messy.

My kenmore elite top freezer

Switch off the fridge and after about 6 hours plug in the fridge to start. Observe cooling to happen in about one hour and ice to from under three hours.
Earlier make sure that the thermostat was set to normal mode for freezer and fridge.
However if Ice forms then observe the fridge for about 24 hours for cooling to continue and the fridge to cut off . If not the auto defrost timer, or the thermostat must be checked.
The circulation fan must be checked to work as if frost forms it can be stuck up . So check if the defrost timer works and also if the heaters are working, check continuity of the heaters.
So try this test from the outside and make your observations so that we come to the solution.

Please check this link for tips to work.

. I have a Kennmore Coldspot Fridge that runs for

A 15A circuit is mainly reserved for lighting.

Even some vacuum cleaners would trip a 15A circuit breaker.

The problem isn't with your refrigerator...its with the breaker installed in the breaker box.

Check your wire size and follow these rules :
12 gauge wire can have 30A c/b max
14 gauge wire can have 20A c/b max
16 gauge wire can have 15A c/b max

So, if the wires coming out of the wall socket is 12 gauge or even 14 gauge...you should be able to swap that 15A circuit breaker with a 20A circuit breaker.
This should be plenty for your refrigerator...if it "pops a 20A"...then you've got appliance problems.

If you don't feel comfortable doing that...then get a new 15A breaker...because it sounds like the other one has gotten weak.

Hope this helps
