Sensor shows F6

The F6 error is indicating a stuck relay on the microwave control board.
Without knowing the age and frequency of usage,
It may just be a pitted contact on the relay, but usually they are soldered in place, and are not serviceable unless you are handy with a soldering iron and the safety factors with taking the metal shroud off a microwave.
sometimes... and this is sometimes...a good jarring will shake the contact loose.
I don;t know if this is a electro-mechanical relay or a solidstate relay... either way... if it sticks once, it will stick again...

Microwave will not start when time is entered and start is pushed

You got it! One of the door switches is not activating. Take a look at the door itself first. There should be two tabs that stick out. These tabs will engage in the holes near the control panel. If the door does not have a broken tab then the problem is behind the control panel on one of the switches. There are 3 switches back there.

Unplug the power cord, it is usually in the cabinet above the microwave oven. Then take the grille off the top, the screws for the grille are on the top of the unit facing down. With the grill off you will see the one screw on top of the control panel, remove that screw and lift up and out on the control panel this will give you access to view the switches and test them with an ohmmeter.

Exhaust fan doesn't work and blows air from top vent

Some microwaves have a adjustable fan. We have one that you can vent out the back, the back top or through the front top filters. The latter is what it sounds like you have. If you take the small back panel off and lift out the fan motor you'll see that you can place it in the direction you like.\\

Error Code "d" - Microwave does not heat

The microwave could be in "Demo Mode" - Check your owners manual.

In Whirlpool/Kenmore models this is indicated by a lower case "d" on the right side of the display panel.

Most/All function except the magnatron (heat) work in demo mode so you can can learn to use the oven without actually cooking food

To clear "demo mode" press the "kitchen timer" pad and hold for 5 seconds until the "d" clears from the display... you may hear 2 beeps.

Kenmore powers on then off

Sounds like the problem is in the control board. Will be better off to buy a new microwave once you see the price of the board unless it it still under warranty. They come with one year from date of purchase.

Kenmore microwave model 721.85033010 works fine except the exhaust fan comes on just out the blue for no reason and wont shut off without unplugging.

It turns itself on
  1. Interlock switch If your microwave is turning itself on, the first thing to check is the interlock switch. This is usually the first thing to malfunction that could cause this issue. If the interlock switch is bad then it will need to be replaced.
  2. Main control board If your microwave is turning itself on and the interlock switch is still working, the probable cause is the main control board. If the control board is defective it will need to be replaced.
But before throwing parts at it give these folks a call... https://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Microwave/74-6-878350-/New/Kenmore-Microwave-Turns-On-By-Itself-721-85033010 Best to you

Kenmore over the range microwave tripping breaker

You've found the proper location if you're seeking for the fuse for your Kenmore microwave. The fuse is often found in the microwave's or behind the control panel. You must take off the microwave's exterior cover in order to reach it. After you've identified the fuse, you may see if it has blown. If so, you'll have to swap it out for a new one. It might be preferable to seek professional advice if you are unsure on how to proceed.

When trying to use convection with Kenmore hood combination it stars then stops and the display says F-5. What does that mean

If you are getting an F-5 error code on your Kenmore hood combination, it typically indicates a problem with the temperature sensor. This error code may occur when you are trying to use the convection feature, as you have described.

To troubleshoot this issue, try the following steps:

Turn off the power to the unit and unplug it from the electrical outlet.

Wait a few minutes, then plug the unit back in and turn on the power.

Try using the convection feature again and see if the error code reappears.

If the error code persists, you may need to replace the temperature sensor. You can consult the user manual for your Kenmore hood combination or contact Kenmore customer service for assistance with this.

If the unit is still under warranty, it's recommended to contact Kenmore customer service for repair or replacement options.
