Most major manufacturers supply manuals

may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to
download, by model number, Customer
Instruction Manuals, Dealer

I hope this helps.
Microwave oven
could be the magnetron or high voltage diode is on its way out. take to Sears to have it checked out or just buy a new one.
Over the stove Mircowave just reinstalled...light is on but not heating up
If any wiring on the control panel was or might have been disturbed, I would want to check that. It may be that something (like a sensor) did not get plugged back in.
Otherwise, I would verify that the door switches are working properly and the mounts for them are not loose or damaged.
If this is a convection model, also check check the damper, damper motor, and damper switch.
If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info (as well as a text file which helps in diagnosing and repairing door switch problems) at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

Kenmore 89942 Microwave no longer heating food
Grass...I'd go for checking the fuses and the thermosensor...a black plastic button with two wires coming out of it that is about the diameter of a dime and 3/8 inch thick. If either is open, no power to the magnetron. Your unit may have a diagram inside. Have a look. The magnetron...? I doubt it.
Microwave humming
It's possible that it is a sign or trouble, but it will make seemingly odd noises when it is switched on and off.
For the most part, you can wait until you see more definitive evidence of trouble.
Watchful waiting is probably in order here for the next week or so.
Blown fuse
Be doubly sure your microwave is unplugged first, of course!
Be sure the fuse is not loose in the holder.
If you can rotate it in the holder easily with just a thumb and finger, then it's too loose and the holder should also be replaced.
That looseness causes a heat buildup, which makes the fuse melt open inside over time.
If the new fuse blows as soon as you hit START then you likely have a shorted high-voltage capacitor.
If it blows again a few seconds or minutes after you hit START, then you likely have a bad high-voltage transformer or magnetron.
It's not inherently unsafe to replace a fuse, as long as you heed the safety rules. The microwave does contain and prodcue voltages that can be instantly lethal.
Feel free to see my safety info via my listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
Kenmore over the range microwave tripping breaker
You've found the proper location if you're seeking for the fuse for your Kenmore microwave. The fuse is often found in the microwave's or behind the control panel. You must take off the microwave's exterior cover in order to reach it.
After you've identified the fuse, you may see if it has blown. If so, you'll have to swap it out for a new one. It might be preferable to seek professional advice if you are unsure on how to proceed.

When trying to use convection with Kenmore hood combination it stars then stops and the display says F-5. What does that mean
If you are getting an F-5 error code on your Kenmore hood combination, it typically indicates a problem with the temperature sensor. This error code may occur when you are trying to use the convection feature, as you have described.
To troubleshoot this issue, try the following steps:
Turn off the power to the unit and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Wait a few minutes, then plug the unit back in and turn on the power.
Try using the convection feature again and see if the error code reappears.
If the error code persists, you may need to replace the temperature sensor. You can consult the user manual for your Kenmore hood combination or contact Kenmore customer service for assistance with this.
If the unit is still under warranty, it's recommended to contact Kenmore customer service for repair or replacement options.

My Kenmore stove timer started going off every 45 seconds
It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with your Kenmore stove's timer function. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
Check the timer settings to make sure that the correct time and alarm settings have been entered.
Try resetting the timer by turning it off and back on again, or unplugging the stove and waiting a few minutes before plugging it back in.
Make sure that there are no buttons or knobs stuck on the stove, as this could cause the timer to activate repeatedly.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance.

Kenmore microwave model 401.85053010 won't heat or cook anything.
Unfortunately, this is not something that can be diagnosed from a distance, unless you had access to a "Kill-a-Watt" meter or equivalent. It could be caused by a bad door switch, a bad relay on the main board, a bad magnetron, or a bad HV diode. (The HV capacitor is probably OK, because if it were bad [shorted], it would blow fuses.)
