No heat

Its sounds like the magnetron. If it was a voltage problem, or something else in the circuit, there would be no power to it as a safety feature. You could get it serviced, but depending on what they run in your area, you might just be better off getting a new one.

Kenmore over the range microwave is dead

Since there was a loud pop, then the fuse blew, I would say the high voltage rectifier diode and fuse have blown.

If so, a do-it-yourselfer can fix this for about $25.

You can probably find exploded views and order parts by entering your model number here at the Sears parts site.

There may be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

Here is a link you or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety warnings first:
http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/diode.html

(The magnetron is a vacuum tube based device that outputs the microwave energy waves)

Kenmore microwave 721.80593402 died

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.

If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or sometimes a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. Other times, it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

Bulb out help

The Bulb is always accessible from inside the oven. The grate will come off in one of three ways. Disconnect power cord first.
1. Secured with screws. Screws should be visible.
2. Grate itself unscrews. Should be in counter-clockwise direction.
3. Grate held in with clips. Should pull straight out with a wiggle.
The bulb itself should unscrew in a counter-clockwise direction. Take it in as a sample when purchasing replacement.:::Spiceweasel.au

Fan relay on circuit board stuck. Give it a tap (the relay), to free it up. Otherwise get the relay or driver transistor replaced. Easy fix. Take it to an electronic repair place, not the brand agent.(They,ll just replace the whole board). If this Item is under warranty you should not be wasting my time.:::Spiceweasel.au

Turntable goes around when the door is open and the microwave is off.

Do not run the microwave with the door open. You will be cooked. Sooner or later, if there are enough microwave ovens, (and there are), everything that can go wrong with them will, eventually. There are several interlocking safety systems built into every microwave so that they won't work with the door open. Yours may have failed. I've never come across one, but that doesn't mean it can't happen.
It may only have a fault making the fan and turntable operate, which can sound like it's working with the door open. Either way, get it checked or get a new one.
This assumes that the microwave isn't actually supposed to do what it is doing under normal conditions or current programming. Refer to manual/instructions if unsure.:::Spiceweasel.au

Turntable problem 80802

It looks like the mechanism on those models consists of a glass tray a roller ring, and a motor, but in the diagram I don't see a coupler... The coupler may be built in to the motor or tray. You can visit http://www3.sears.com/ and enter your exact model number - like 721.80802### - not just 80802. The parts lists and exploded view diagrams for the turntable parts should be located in the section "Interior Parts 1". Those will help you figure out what part(s) you need, which you can order online or by phone or in any Sears store. If you need more help, repost with any new details you have. I appreciate your rating of this reply.

Kenmore microwave model 721.85033010 works fine except the exhaust fan comes on just out the blue for no reason and wont shut off without unplugging.

It turns itself on
  1. Interlock switch If your microwave is turning itself on, the first thing to check is the interlock switch. This is usually the first thing to malfunction that could cause this issue. If the interlock switch is bad then it will need to be replaced.
  2. Main control board If your microwave is turning itself on and the interlock switch is still working, the probable cause is the main control board. If the control board is defective it will need to be replaced.
But before throwing parts at it give these folks a call... https://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Microwave/74-6-878350-/New/Kenmore-Microwave-Turns-On-By-Itself-721-85033010 Best to you
