Water dispenser slow flow after filter change

I had the same problem when switching to Pur filters. There are two curved wedges inside the end that hold the filter away from its connection. It turned out that they were just a little to short, putting the end of the filter to close to the connection, and that's all it took to restrict the water flow. I went to the hardware store and found a thin plastic washer that would add some space (it was for a faucet diverter of some kind, thinner than a dime). It added just enough space for good water flow. Another benefit was it helped stop the icemaker line from freezing. A simpler solution might be to make sure to get factory-original filters.

Ice dispenser in door clogged up or frozen

I would contact Hotpoint direct for this one. It sounds like a design fault to me.

What I think may be going on is that the cubes are melting too much, then refreezing lower down.

Set your freezer to -18, and the fridge to +2 and see if that changes things any.

Check seals in that area. Where is the moisture coming from to generate the frosting? - Is the location high in humidity?

My side by side refrigerators water dispenser tube drips into the tray?

I suspect the water valve is not shutting off complete enough and is leaking by out the dispenser. You will likely need to replace the water inlet valve, accessed from the back of the refrigerator.

I'm guessing during defrost cycle

Why is there ice buildup in your freezer compartment?

Small ice droplets on the freezer walls and back panel are normal.

If frost is building up in the freezer compartment, check for the following:
  • Frost is likely to build if the door is left open for a period of time. Make sure the doors are closing completely and are not blocked by something between the door gasket and cabinet.
See also: Door not closing completely.
  • Is there frost buildup around the exterior doors or on the ceiling? See explanation below.
  • Is there ice stuck in the delivery chute (if applicable)? See explanation below.
Frost buildup around the exterior doors or on the ceiling
Frost buildup in these areas suggests an air leak, likely due to a gasket problem. The door gasket should seal all the way around on both doors. Make sure that nothing is between the gasket and cabinet when the door is closed.
if working correctly the automatic defrost should run properly again

I have a kitchenaid Superb refrigerator KSCS25INSS01 and the temps are warmer than normal.

I have a similar problem, I have the same model number, mine is too cold in the the refrigerator but has the same " whirring/click noise" .I have removed the back cover and observed the condenser fan motor cycling on and off in 10 second or so intervals. the compressor is not trying to start so my guess is the control board is bad. I was hoping you have solved your problem before I buy a $250.00 part or a new "Frig" this one is 8 years old.Lil help?

Icemaker overflows when filling

first, get your manual here:http://www.kitchenaid.com/custserv/service.jsp

The manual describes a wire arm which should gauge the amount of ice your unit produces. That arm is improperly set up or missing. The switch it controls may be defective. Have a look.
