Freezer in nice and cold but refridgerator is not

due to lots of moisture in the air or high humidity it creates extra frost in the freezing unit this creates blockage in the air flow once the ice crystals build up. the freezer is what keeps the fridge at the normal temperature if the air flow between the two are blocked in the ducting then the fridge temperature will rise the best way to solve this is to open the freezer take out the 4 screws in the back panel tilt the panel forward and blow it with a blow dryer till the ice chunk has melted its a good idea to use a towel and on the top self of the fridge to obsorb excess water this can be kinda messy. or you can unplug your fridge for about 6 or so hours. good luck hope i helped. :)

Freezer is not cold and ice is building up on the bottom back

Since this model is frost free and u are finding ice in the bottom back the problem may be due to either or both of these:
  • Low refrigerant coolant gas(freon/CF4)
  • The fan & heater *** blower assembly could have malfunctioned. To check put ur hand near the outlet of the bower outlet to feel if the fan is operational.
This may be the first things to check and post ur reply as comment for us to help find the exact problem..........................sodeep

Lots of moisture in freezer, barely freezing

The problem is that the unit is not initiating the defrost cycle. This can be caused by a bad defrost heater. This can be tested with an ohm meter to see if it has continuity. It can also be caused by a bad temperature sensor, this can also be tested by an ohm meter. (it should change resistance based on temperature) It can also be caused by the defrost timer failing (this is a microcontroller board in newer units)

Ice build up under rolling tray in freezer

Yes you are right there is a drain tube in the middle of the coils. You need to remove the back panel and you will see the coils of the evaporator (freezer) and right underneath you will see drain tube. Now more then likely it is plugged with ice so take some regular table salt and two or three teaspoons on the top of the tube opening will break it loose and start draining. Take some regular tap water and pour down just to flush the tube and inspect the bottom collection pan under the fridge and see how much water is coming out. Be sure to have unit turned off when you do this cause the fan will run inside the freezer compartment other wise. Hope this helps you. ken

Servis frost free fridge /freezer

not sure if it happens with this brand but I know others have a problem with ice build up that can interfere with the fan. If you can remove the back panel in the freezer section and take a look. If not try defrosting it for a couple of hours to see if it makes a difference.

How old is ur unit? Often the motor mount you need to check that rubber make sure its not broken (bushing)or the motor directly touch the rest of the panel below. Or else you need a new motor to eliminate that noise. Good luck Hope this help!
