Replaced delta valve with moem.

The pipe going from the main valve to the tub spout(not the sprayer above)needs to be a full 1/2" pipe if you used a pex 1/2" to the tub spout-the inside is usually smaller and causes it to back pressure and make water release thru the sprayer above-needs to be installed with a full 1/2" ID PIPE-AND DONT USE GALVANIZED

Low water pressure

When it was installed was there any copper sweating done? If so, the valve cartridge can get fried if not removed prior to the immense heat from a torch.

Try finding the water source-turn it off-then on again after 10 min. Some ice makers have a reset button- check manual.

I have a new 1222 cartridge installed and now it will not turn off completely.

There is an anti-scald ring just before the handle goes on it determines where the handle stops you must have put it on wrong and or the cartridge is upside-down in relation to the handle.

Had a leaky Moen Posi-Temp shower faucet.

I'm not aware of any problems with non moen replacement parts being the cause for a water hammer problem. Start with the simplest and cheapest correction which is using a moen replacement cartridge. If the water hammer persists then you may have to install a water hammer arrester in the plumbing system. This is basically a shock absorber in the plumbing system to stop the effect of water hammer. An arrester will cost you around $10 to $15 at your local plumbing supply shop. If you are not comfortable soldering copper then you will want to hire a licensed plumber to complete the work for you.

I had the same type of problem with an older toilet in my house. It developed a water hammer when it shut off after filling the tank. I replaced the fill valve with a generic universal replacement for about $10 and it stopped. Again sometimes the simplest fix will work. Let me know how it works out.

Water on/off is in the wrong position after changing the moen cartridge in my shower

Put your cartridge back the way it was originally. By rotating 180 you reverse the hot and cold. Leave the handle and plastic adapter off. Turn on your water supply and turn valve with the plastic adapter until the water is shut off. Remove the adapter and install it with the set screw for handle facing down. Put your handle back on and that should take care of problem. (I did the exact same thing as you today....small world)

The water does not completely

The seals located in the faucet's cartridge will wear out over time, causing water to drip uncontrollably from the faucet. These worn out seals can also make it difficult for you to turn the water in the tub completely off.

This is often caused by a scratched or torn cartridge, O-ring, or grommet. Typically, a cartridge replacement will correct this type of leak or water dripping.--------- -------- Click the link below and follow the troubleshooting directions:--- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/07/water-does-not-completely-shut-off-on.html ------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

In most cases, the knob has been installed upside down. To correct this simply:
  1. Remove handle cap and the Phillips screw under the cap.
  2. Pull the handle off the faucet.
  3. Now replace the handle, only this time, make sure the point of the waterdrop handle is pointing downward to the six o'clock position.
  4. Replace the Phillips head screw and handle cap.
The next reason could be' It is possible that the balancing spool is stuck due to non-use. Replace the cartridge to correct this situation. To prevent future issues, use the faucet at least once a week.

You could try gently tapping the valve and run in under hot water in a sink and see if any deposits come out. It could be from hard water, rust, minerals etc.

I had a problem with one before and contacted Moen and they sent me a new valve for free

Low hot water pressure on

I think you are on the right track. The first thing I would do is change the cartridge. While you have the valve apart examine the inlet ports as good as you can to see if there is any mineral buildup. You can use a short length of a small gauge mallable wire to run into water ports to se if you can break anything loose. Another thing you can do is to turn supply stop on slightly while you have the valve disassembled to wash any particles out. Hope this helps you and thanks.

Is the moen posi temp shower handle a warranty

It may be but it would depend on how and why it broke. If the unit is less then a year old Moen is always pretty good about replacing parts.
I can't give you a ferm amount on replacement not knowing witch handle you have but they range from $6 to $150 depending on the handle and the finish. The link below will give you good idea.

Water coming out of faucet

Did you take a good look inside where cartridge is inserted for debris, corrosion or even pitting from corrosion on cylinder? I usually will clean it real good inside with fine steel wool if that happens, then wipe it out good as well, then apply a good coat of vaseline to new cartridge before re-installing. Take a close look at new cartridge at rubber seals for cuts or divots as well. That said, large pitting in cylinder probably will require replacement.

Usually when I turn the handle on, I have to turn

It is probably the regulator/cartridge valve in the handle and is fairly easy to fix yourself.

Remove the screw cover from the center of the handle (use a small flat screwdriver to pry it off), then remove the handle (phillips head in counterclockwise direction), there is a metal plate behind the handle remove that and tuen you can turn the water off here as well - the middle one is has a cartridge valve and the other two on each side are the water supply shut off - use a flat head screwdriver to turn them clockwise to shut off the water supply.

There will be a bonnet nut on the center pipe - remove that with an adj. wrench. Pull the valve out (channel lock pliers work well) of the center pipe and insert the new cartridge.

Reinstall the bonnet nut and turn on the water supply valves on either side, replace the metal plate and faucet handle.

Good Luck!
