How do I check the compressor
What I would do first which is very simple is leave the fridge on for a bout 20 min. Unplug it, pull it out, pull the bottom cover off and place your hand on the compresser, if it is very hot, compresser is pooped. If it is not warm at all then I would first check the thermostat. If the thermostat is closing properly then you can check for power at the compresser by pulling the little black cover off of where the wires enter the compresser. If there is voltage there 120v then unplug the fridge and pull the connectors off of the terminals on the compresser, remembering where they go of corse. Between two of the terminals you should get a low resistance. Say 1.5 and through another set you should get a higher one. Say 4.6 then through the last test you should get those two nembers added up 6.1 if your meter says OL at any time that means you have an open winding and the compresser is done for. If your numbers do not add up then you may have a shorted winding and your compresser is done for.
Good luck
WHERE IS THE WIRING HARNESS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE EVAPORATOR FAN TO STOP
I would look for a fuse somewhere. If you've found the board, simply smell the board. One of the few good things about an electrical short (creating the smell), is that the smell sticks with the problem. Assumptions:When checking the power to the motor, consider that there is typically a temp sensor that tells it when to kick on and off. If the entire system isn't running, it likely won't ever get to that point, thus no power reading. Follow the smell. Also, the good thing about motors is that you can hook up just about any power to it (within reason), and "bump test" it. You'll just bump the power to it, to see if the fan bumps on. Not something you'll want to do for an extended period of time, but it'll serve its purpose.
Condenser fan not working
if evaporator fan inside refrigerator is running check for blockage at condenser fan, if no blockage condenser fan is the problem
My Kss048fmx refrigerator is beeping
Usually when a refrigerator is beeping it is due to the door being ajar or something caught in the seal or lastly a fault in the electronics which is rare but possible. It could also be due to the hinges being worn and being warped as well due to weight put on the door over an amount of time. Is it consistently beeping? How many times is it beeping? If you push the door closed completely does the beeping noise stop? I await your reply.Thank you,Rick
