Saniflo & Saniplus& Macerator Pump - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Saniplus has continual loud noise and won'y switch off
That could be due to the membrane (#15) in the schematic diagram, the membrane might be stuck in the on position or it might be warped, that's why the unit is staying on the whole time and not shutting off. The membrane is what activates the pump on and off. You will have to open up the unit and inspect it. You can also visit their website at www.saniflo.com to download the installation manual.

Water keeps flowing back into the macerator
There should be a check valve installed in the discharge elbow, check if the check valve is installed or it might just be stuck open so when waste water is pumped out, it slowly drains back into the unit creating water pressure that is making it kick on and off.

How high should water come up before contents pumps out
Depending in the pump model, but most of them, the pump casing usually fills up with water about half way of the casing before it creates enough water pressure to pump the waste out. Once the water is pumped out, the pressure releases off the pump and the unit shuts off.

Saniflow macerator
Depending on the pump model it can be that the float switch (membrane) might be warped or solids could be build up at the bottom which dont allow it to shut off. You wil have to open up the unit, remove the motor with pressure chamber and inspect it.;

Saniflo has power but the blades don't turn?
That could be a problem with either a blockage in the blade or the impeller or a bad starting capacitor. I sugges to open up the unit and inspect the blade and impeller if there is no blockage then might be the starting capacitor that will need to be replaced.

How do you open up saniflo plus
Usually you have to unplug the power cord, remove all the piping attached to the pump, remove the pump completely out the back of the toilet. Pry open the lid using a flat head screw driver. Remove 2 screws in front of the pump casing and 1 at the back of the casing; then the motor with pressure chamber will come off the top of the pump casing as one piece, therefore it can inspected and repaired.

Saniflo motor running constantly
Depending on the model name, it might be a build up of waste at the bottom of the membrane or the membrane might be warped, if it is warped it will need to be replaced. Most Saniflo units have a pressure chamber and a membrane which activates the pump on and off, that could be the main reason why is not shutting off. Also you can refer to the installation manual or the schematic diagram. If you don have it you can download it from the Saniflo website at
www.saniflo.com good luck with your unit.

Saniflush toilet smells horribly
sounds like the trap is not holding water and allowing the septic/sewer odors and bugs access into the toilet. This can be caused by an object being flushed that got lodged in the trap. frequent problem when small children are around. If this is the case then the only solution is to remove the obstruction. More often than not you have to remove the toilet, flip upside down (best to do this in the tub) and locate and remove the obstruction.
