Leaking with no visible crack-- caused my ceiling
Check your seal between the bowl and the floor.
Sounds like the wax seal used on the underneath of the bowl is faulty and needs replacement.
If the seal is faulty it will cause a leak that you described.
Be sure to remove all the old wax seal on the floor and the bowl before installing a new wax seal.

I find puddles of water
If you're finding puddles of water in front of the bowl ON THE FLOOR, then most likely your wax seal is leaking between the floor and the drain piping. You will have to disconnect toilet, remove water from toilet, remove toilet from floor. There is one other possibility, but not likely If it is just a small amout of water, it could be condensation. If your water source is cold (like well water in summer time) and it is hot and humid in your house sometimes toilet tanks sweat.
How do I replace the toilet seat on a Kohler
I repaied one of these laast week and it had the Plastic nuts in between the webbing on the seat where the lid connects I believe You remove the plastic cap with a knife and use a flat tip screw driver to remove the screws and replace the seat.
Bowl does not fill after flushing
Check the fill line in the tank and make sure it is connected from fill valve to overflow tube. After you flush the toilet it fill's the bowl and tank.
It should be a line about 1/4 ' in size coming from fill valve to overflow tube.
KOHLER TOILET
It sounds like a slight flow restriction. Take the fill valve apart and clean all of the guts.
Toilet seat
Here's what I did. Unscrew them as much as possible. Then I used a bolt cutter and hacksaw to cut away as much of the plastic seat holders as possible. I could then remove most of the seat, and get better access to the screws. I then raised the loose screws enough to cut them with a bolt cutter. Soft screws cut easily. The screw heads are now out. Now, tap down on the screw/anchor and it falls into the bowl. It will stay there. The remaining problem is that you need anchors to secure the new toilet seat. Kohler wants $50. I have a usable but loose seat. Never again-Kohler.
I strongly recommend using a boltcutter. A hacksaw will tear up the bowl.
Kohler k-3574 float valve problem
There is two possible solution to this problem. Adjusting the float valve by turning the adjustment screw clockwise. If by adjusting the valve still does not shut the water of it is time to replace valve and according to your product make and model the Float Valve part number is 1083167 replaced by GP1083167. I hope this information helps. I also included a link to a website with the part so you could see the part and compare (this is only to view I don't promote any particular web site) you can probably find the part at local hardware store, plumbing shop, DIY store. Please rate info provided, Good Luck and have a great day.

Rialto toilet flapper pulled to left and does not seat
The pull mechanism can be replaced with a universal one. This isn't a free thing but there are several different length's.
Pull yours out [ simple to do - unhook - use a pair of pliers and remove the large nut inside the tank and remove]
then take it and compare with a longer one. - Or there is a chain extension if you want to go that route.
Best of it
New water valve makes ahigh pitched whistling
I had exactly the same problem. Just turn down the water pressure @ the valve on the water inlet line. While you have the toilet lid off, you may want to remove the fill valve (1/2 turn counterclockwise on the plastic nut attached to the water-in line), and clean the rubber diaphrams (there are 2). They will sometimes get gritty and this will cause some fill noises and leaking.
