Good Luck!
Err nessage 2
Suggestion was Descaling the Coffee Maker from KitchenAid Phoebe (I'm guessing customer support)

Cleaning scale from coffee maker
DO NOT USE THAT MUCH VINEGAR! Put a tiny bit of vinegar in the carafe
and fill carafe the rest of the way with water. Run that vinegar/water
through machine. Using another container, fill machine with plain water
and run that through. Repeat until the vinegar taste is gone. If you do
not run lots of plain water through the machine after, your coffee will
taste like...um...disgusting! Also, use a spell-checker before
improving this posting.

To clean hard water deposits from a coffee
maker use distilled white vinager. You may need to use as much as a
gallon if the scale buildup is really bad. Fill clean coffee pot one
half full of vinager and run through machine as if making coffee.
Repeat this process several times using fresh vinager until it comes
out clear. Do this once a week and your maker will work much better.

How to clean the water filter
according to kitchen aid reps, you can not clean the filter, you can only buy a new one from them for it. i have cleaned mine, but it is only a limited solution
Clean light on kitchenaid kcm112 won't go off
I found that the following clears the "clean" word that is flashing:
- Hold MODE and the + button for about 5 seconds.
- After the coffeemaker chimes 2 times, release the buttons.
Hopefully, the clean message will go off.
As an aside, the warmer plate is so awful looking. I am replacing this coffee maker (KM222) with another (and cheaper) one.
The blue power on light does not light up when pressed on my Kitchenaid KES100 espresso machine although the high pressure pump runs when the button is pressed. Neither boiler heats up.
You will need to test for where the power stops & check the fuses on each boiler for continuity. If you find any blown then replace the thermostat on that boiler along with the fuses. The thermostats are different rating for each boiler, don't mix them up. It's highly unusual for both boilers to fail at the same time. Occasionally one of the boiler elements can fail, there are 2 elements on each boiler, check them for continuity. If you have any boiler leaks then replace all the seals on that boiler, the steam one is the one most likely to leak. Buy your own seals using the old ones as samples from someone specialising in O ring supply. There are 5 seals on each boiler. Do not purchase rubber or silicone seals, only use Viton seals, they are high temperature.
