Flapper falls off hinge
One of the rubber supports/holes is probably split, or you put in the wrong one..holes too big.

My cadet toilet does not
I would suggest trying to clean the flapper seat and also the pins that the flapper hinges on. If the flapper looks closed you can try putting a bit of petrolium jelly on the flapper seat and see if that fixes the problem. If nit you should replace the flapper.

Yellow attachment to flapper in Cadet 3 toilet tank
Some toilet flappers are designed with this some are not. It has to do with the particular flapper design, helping the flapper to stay in the open position to allow a better flush. Anyways you should be to adjust this float up or down to optimize it's usefulness. Trial and error is all you can do, keep watching and flushing until it no longer gets in the way. I hope this helps in at least knowing that for your toilet and the flapper you have, it's suppose to be there. Good luck and thanks for using FIXYA and have a great weekend. Jeff

I have a 4112.016 American Standard Toilet and
1.The Flapper Valve isn't seating all the way, and allowing water to seep through. (At end of chain)
2.The Fluidmaster water control unit that is connected to the other end of the chain, isn't shutting off when the lever for it, is all the way in the down position.
Test the FluidMaster unit, by lightly applying pressure in a down motion, to that lever.
(Facing the toilet from the front, the FluidMaster water control unit is in the left corner of the tank. {Not trying to insult your intelligence}
The lever I speak of, is the small arm at the top of the FluidMaster. The Flapper Valve chain connects to this lever)
If it shuts off, you may have some fine sand, or other foreign material in the FluidMaster. [Taking one apart, and checking, then reassembling, is No fun!]
If it doesn't shut off when you apply pressure to that lever, you may have a bad diaphragm in the FluidMaster.
Suggest you replace this unit.

Air switch randomly comes on by itself and I have to leave the breaker off
This could be caused by a faulty relay or switch in the control panel. It is best to have a qualified technician inspect the control panel and replace any faulty components. If the issue persists after replacing the faulty components, then it could be a wiring issue and a qualified electrician should be consulted.

My American standard champion 4 sings after I flush it, while it I still filling. Then stops when filled.
Hey, One thing is that maybe there might be some loose plastic shavings in the fill line. From the Factory? or maybe was inside the water line going to the toilet when you connected the line to toilet. Shut off the water and get some towels and something to catch the water and disconnect it from the toilet and use bowl or what ever to catch the water and slowly turn it on and see if anything comes out. Maybe if it is in the line inside the toilet it might fall out by lightly tapping on the fill line inside the toilet to help it fall out. Just a thought when you said it "Sings" that sounds like trash inside the line going to the filler tube and bowl, hey try it who knows it might work. Okay
