EITHER THE FLAPPER IS NOT PROPERLY ADJUSTED OR YOU WILL NEED A NEW FLAPPER. WATER IS SLOWLY LEAKING BETWEEN FLAPPER AND SEAT. AS WATER LEVEL DROPS ,TOILET WILL RUN TO BRING WATER LEVEL BACK TO PROPER HEIGHT.

Tank adds water approx once every Hr, how do I
Sounds like your flapper isn't sitting properly. Put food coloring in the tank and wait a bit - see if it goes into the bowl for a definite answer. A new flapper will cost about 6 bucks. Good luck.

Water disappears to below the bowl inlet and stop.
adjust the float up to make water deeper....make sure no obstructions around the flapper....flapper needs to rest tight to bottom of inside the tank..flapper is the rubber peice that lifts when you push handle

The bowl does not refill after flush I notice that
Check to see if the tube has come off and fallen to the bottom of the tank or that it was left off when the fill valve was installed. There should be a tube going into the overflow pipe on the valve mechanism. The fill valve should have water spraying out of an orfice wear it would attach while the tank is filling. If you determine that it is missing and can't find it, you will have to try to find one that matches at the hardware store. Worst case would be to put in a new fill valve if you can't find a tube to put on it.

How much draw down (tightening) do use to attach
Seat the tank well on a new wax ring and then tightnen the two bolts on the sides evenly there is a small amount of pressure but thats it. To much and you'll snap the side of the bowl. You can caulk around the edge if you want more security, less movement.
The tension on the nuts is very tricky just a feel kinda thing.
Be carefull not to over do it.

Need to know which cadet to install--3 or 4
I only install Kohler commodes and have never had a problem with clogging. All of Kohler commodes have a 3.5 inch flush valve, just pick the style you want.

Toilet flushing
you either have the wrong flapper or it is not adjusted right try moving the chain to shorter or longer lenght the other thing to check is that your handle is not loose if you have to tighten handle be careful it is a reversed thread also check water level in tank

Water shut off sticks open
Make sure that the float in not touching the side of the bowl. You may oil the hinge on the float. Lastly you may turn off the water , open the valve and see if any of the internal parts are swollen or enlarged interfering with the final rising of the float, and closing of the valve.

American Standard Elongated toilet bowl water level slowly drops
The tank holding the proper amount of water is a good sign. The inside of the stool is like the GOOSE NECK under you sink. It always holds water. This may sound like a bit of a hassle to do but if all 3 toilets are identical, here is what you can try if you are a bit handy. Go to the hardware store and purchase 4 toilet wax rings with a plastic flange and a few sets of toilet floor flange bolts(they are cheap and you can always return if not used, as It is better to have xtra parts on hand). Turn off the water supply to the "Mystery Toilet". Leave the tank and everything connected to the stool. Flush the toilet and remove all excess water from the tank and bowl. This can be done with a shop vac, sponge or towel. Disconnect the water supply to the tank. Remove the bolts holding the stool to the floor and carefully remove toilet. Scrap off all the old wax from the floor flange and bottom of stool. Now go and repeat this proceedure to one of the toilets that is working properly. In other words Switch the "Mystery Toilet" with a "Working Toilet" and see how they react. If the working toilet does it in the same bathroom and the "Mystery Toilet" does not do it in the other bathroom then you probably have a VENTING PROBLEM. If the "Mysery Toilet" Does it in the other bathroom then you most likely have a Defective Toilet. This Job is best done by 2 people, as it can sometimes be challenging to center the new wax ring on the toilet flange. Reconnect to the floor and reconnect water supply to the tanks. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN BOLTS to the floor flange as you may crack the toilet. All drain lines must be vented properly for water to flow. If you are curious check out drain venting on the internet. Also, sometimes a vent can become obstructed with debris, ice, bird nest, etc.. I would 1st check the vent on the roof visually and then have someone flush and listen. If you believe the vent is clear....Then do the toilet switch and go from there.....Hope this helps and Happy Holidays....Joe

Air switch randomly comes on by itself and I have to leave the breaker off
This could be caused by a faulty relay or switch in the control panel. It is best to have a qualified technician inspect the control panel and replace any faulty components. If the issue persists after replacing the faulty components, then it could be a wiring issue and a qualified electrician should be consulted.

My American standard champion 4 sings after I flush it, while it I still filling. Then stops when filled.
Hey, One thing is that maybe there might be some loose plastic shavings in the fill line. From the Factory? or maybe was inside the water line going to the toilet when you connected the line to toilet. Shut off the water and get some towels and something to catch the water and disconnect it from the toilet and use bowl or what ever to catch the water and slowly turn it on and see if anything comes out. Maybe if it is in the line inside the toilet it might fall out by lightly tapping on the fill line inside the toilet to help it fall out. Just a thought when you said it "Sings" that sounds like trash inside the line going to the filler tube and bowl, hey try it who knows it might work. Okay
