Fan wont turn off

Is it the vent blower or the magnetron cooling motor. if it is the blower then it could be a bad thermal switch that is designed to come on if the bottom surface gets too hot. or a bad relay on the control board. last it could be a bad touch pad. the magnetron cooling fan could be a bad door interlock switch or relay on the control board.

Microwave makes loud sound when running.

You don't. If it's doing that, there's something wrong with it. It needs to be replaced.

Safe to Use with Loud Rattling Sound?

It's not a good idea to continue to use it when it's making an unusual noise. It may be arcing, which can lead to further failure or a fire, or it may be a defective stirrer or fan ,which can lead to uneven cooking or further failure.$360 for a service call? Are you in Alaska or on Mars? That's insane. Maybe you can contact another servicer in your area?

Replacement of the Cover Inlet plate inside the

Hi

To locate the inlet cover, look towards the interior side of the microwave next to the microwave display. The inlet is typically located near the back of the microwave, in the middle of the wall.Unplug your microwave from the electrical outlet and remove any food or containers.

Wipe the inlet cover, typically located on the right side of the microwave in the middle of the wall, with a damp cloth. The cover must be kept clean or it will not protect the microwave.

Dry the inlet cover with a soft towel.

Leave the microwave door open for several hours to air out the inlet cover.

Examine the inlet cover for wear and tear. If the cover has too much damage in the form of scratches or holes, it may need replacement.

Remove the inlet cover, if desired. Insert a putty knife under the plastic nail that holds the inlet cover in place. Pry out the nails and set them aside. Pull out the micro plate in front of the inlet and set it aside. Remove the inlet plate.

Install a new inlet plate. Slide the new inlet cover into its place. Replace the nails back into the side of the microwave by aligning them with the holes of the side.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

The microwave runs like normal

The most likely problem is the magnetron that heats the food, the other less likely is the high voltage transformer that energizes the magnetron. To replace either part with labor would be as much if not more than a brand new microwave oven.

Looking to replace the plastic piece on the

They don't show the entire door assembly as being available.

But you can replace the outer door frame (outer door panel)part number 8184319.

At $167.94, it's not cheap. But you can get it here.

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screw(s) you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

In some cases, you then have to gently rotate the handle to unlock it.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Rattling Fan Noise

If I had to bet, I would say the fan blade assembly is loose on the fan motor shaft.

If so, a spot of super glue where they meet will usually take care of that.

If that's not it, it should be investigated.

It is vital that the cooling fan runs properly, or the magnetron will be destroyed.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

After you look into this, if you still need help, please write back with more details.

Turns on randomly Reads: PAN and then counts down from 3 minutes

From the owner's manual found here or here:

"Touch PAN HEAT once. Pan will preheat for 3 minutes."

Sounds like it's doing it on its own due to a failing keypad.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs.

Kitchenaid microwave kmhs120ess door fell apart

Doors for microwave ovens are usually replaced as a complete item. I would ask the person who forgot to fix the door latches properly back to fix it properly. If some of the clips were snapped off when removing the door panel, the panel must be replaced or it will fall out again.

Kitchenaid oven racks fall

I am a bit late on this question, but just ended up in a rabbit hole of unanswered Kitchenaid questions The self cleaning features only serves to keep manufacturers in steady sales of parts. Quite simply the oven can only take those temperatures a few times until they break. The heat burns out elements, damages fans, door locks and worst of all damages control boards which are not far enough from the heat source. You problem sounds like the walls of the oven have buckled in the heat so the racks no longer fit. Too late now, but you should have taken Kitchenaid to court, the oven was not fit for purpose under the description they used to sell it to you. Never use the self cleaning feature as stated here https://www.google.com/search?q=self-cleaning+oven+temperature Never Ever use the self clean feature. We see damage here every couple of weeks. The worst was a burned control board on an oven that all parts were obsolete, so the self clean cost a thousand bucks! Self-cleaning ovens bring the heat so you don't have to spend hours scrubbing. Traditional self-cleaning cycles heat the oven between 800°F and 900°F, helping turn soil and spills to a powdery ash you can then wipe away. They utilize only heat-no chemicals-and are built to withstand high temperatures. (Says Maytag who love selling elements, door locks and other parts),
