Weed Eater 25cc 2-Cycle Curved-Shaft Gas String Trimmer FL25C - Page 10 Questions & Answers
How do you unhook safety switch under seat please?
No 'make model (what it is)'!
Let's guess a lawn tractor? It's dangerous, people fall off them and get run over, kids and the pet rabbit get mangled, fences get knocked over.
You just bridge the wires.

260 MF tractor dry brakes but very weak
If you have a 260 MF tractor with dry brakes that are very weak, there could be a few potential causes for this issue:
Worn Brake Pads - If the brake pads on your tractor are worn down, they may not be able to provide the necessary friction to stop the tractor effectively. In this case, you'll need to replace the brake pads with new ones.
Low Brake Fluid - Your tractor's brakes rely on hydraulic fluid to function properly. If the fluid level is low, it can cause the brakes to feel weak. Check the brake fluid reservoir and add more fluid if needed.
Air in the Brake Lines - Air bubbles in the brake lines can reduce the effectiveness of the brakes. You'll need to bleed the brake lines to remove any air bubbles and restore proper brake function.
Faulty Master Cylinder - The master cylinder is responsible for generating hydraulic pressure in the brake system. If the master cylinder is faulty, it can cause weak brakes. In this case, you'll need to replace the master cylinder.
Worn Brake Rotors or Drums - If the brake rotors or drums are worn or warped, they may not be able to provide the necessary friction to stop the tractor effectively. In this case, you'll need to replace the rotors or drums with new ones.
It's important to have a trained mechanic diagnose and repair the issue with your tractor's brakes to ensure safe operation

Tractor ignition clicks battery charged will not crank
If the battery is actually good and has the amperage to crank the vehicle then this would indicate having bad connections. This could be the Positive (+) or Negative (-) connections. Clean (sandpaper/wire brush) and use grease/vaseline on all ground and Positive connections, it should either crank or you have a bad starter/solenoid.

Chain moves as starter cord is pulled
It sounds like you might be describing the operation of a chainsaw, where the starter cord is used to start the engine. When the cord is pulled, it rotates the flywheel, which in turn moves the piston and causes the fuel mixture in the engine to ignite and power the chain. As the chain moves, it rotates around the bar and can be used to cut through wood or other materials.
It's important to use caution and follow proper safety procedures when using a chainsaw, as the chain can be very sharp and potentially dangerous if not used correctly. If you're not familiar with how to use a chainsaw safely, it's a good idea to get some training or guidance from someone who has experience with them.

Had mother connect battery and she connected it backwards, mower runs fine until pto is engaged and blows fuse. Clutch is good, switch tested fine, what else?
If the battery was connected backwards on your mower, it's possible that some of the electrical components may have been damaged. Here are a few things you can check to diagnose the issue with the PTO:
- Check the wiring: Start by inspecting the wiring and connectors for any signs of damage, such as melted insulation, broken wires, or loose connections. Pay particular attention to the wires and connectors in the circuit that includes the PTO and the fuse that's blowing.
- Test the voltage: Use a multimeter to test the voltage at various points in the circuit, including the battery, the PTO switch, and the fuse. Make sure that the voltage readings are within the manufacturer's recommended range.
- Check the PTO clutch: While the PTO clutch may appear to be functioning properly, it's possible that it may have been damaged when the battery was connected backwards. Check the clutch for any signs of damage or wear, such as cracks or burned spots on the surface.
- Consider professional repair: If you're unable to diagnose or fix the issue on your own, consider taking your mower to a professional repair service or contacting the manufacturer for assistance.
Please note that working with electrical components can be dangerous, and it's important to take appropriate safety precautions when troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Always wear appropriate protective gear and follow all manufacturer instructions and guidelines.

How to tell if fuel mix screw bore passage is clear from a broken off fuel screw tip
If you're unsure if the broken tip is still inside the fuel mix screw bore, you can try a few methods to check. One way is to use a borescope, which is a small camera that can be inserted into tight spaces to inspect for foreign objects. Another option is to use a magnetized tool to see if the tip is attracted to it. You can also try blowing compressed air through the fuel mix screw bore to see if there is any resistance or obstruction. If you're still uncertain, you can take the carburetor to a professional for inspection and cleaning.

Lawnmower suddenly awfully rattly and pull cord won't retract
It sounds like there may be a problem with the engine itself, possibly due to the low oil levels and neglect in servicing. Here are a few things you can check to try and identify the issue:
- Check the spark plug: Make sure the spark plug is clean and in good condition. A dirty or faulty spark plug can cause poor engine performance and noise.
- Check the blade: Make sure the blade is properly installed and not bent or damaged. A damaged blade can cause excessive vibration and noise.
- Check the engine oil level: Make sure the oil level is correct and clean. Low oil levels can cause engine damage and noise.
- Check the engine for debris: Look for any debris or foreign objects in the engine, including the muffler and air filter. These can cause blockages and affect engine performance.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to take the lawnmower to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.

Replaced the handbrake switch on my Z425 and it still shuts down as soon as the handbrake is released?????
It is possible that the handbrake switch is not properly connected or that the wiring has become damaged. You should check all of the connections to make sure they are secure and that there are no loose wires. If everything looks good, then you may need to replace the switch itself. It is also possible that there is an issue with the brake system itself, such as a faulty brake caliper or a worn brake pad. If this is the case, then you will need to have it inspected by a qualified mechanic.

Miller 225 with kohler ch18s engine not getting fuel.
There are several things that could be causing your Miller 225 with a Kohler CH18S engine not to get fuel. Here are a few things to check:
- Fuel line - Make sure the fuel line is not clogged or damaged.
- Fuel filter - Check the fuel filter to see if it is clogged or needs to be replaced.
- Fuel pump - The fuel pump may not be functioning properly. You can test the fuel pump by removing the fuel line from the carburetor and turning the engine over. If you don't see a steady stream of fuel coming out of the fuel line, the fuel pump may need to be replaced.
- Carburetor - The carburetor could be clogged or not functioning properly. You can try cleaning the carburetor or replacing it if necessary.
- Spark plug - If the spark plug is dirty or worn out, it may not be creating a spark to ignite the fuel in the engine. You can try cleaning or replacing the spark plug to see if that helps.
