If you unplug it after each usage, sorry but there likely is no hope, unless it is still under warranty, but I don't think you would be here if that were the case.If you do leave it plugged in all the time, about your only hope would be to unplug it for 5 minutes and retry it.If you unplug it after each use,it has already been done. That is a common reset of digital circuits, which are just about anything electronic which is programmable, and a few which are not such as video game consoles, internet modems, and a few other components. If there were some kind of reset available other than that,it would be obviously noticeable on the outside somewhere without requiring disassembly.Do you know what i mean?Did you smell hotness,or feel hotness? It's a pretty basic system,a motor and variable speeds. Not a whole lot of circuitry. To repair it would probably cost more than a new one with a new warranty and everything.Labor at a repair shop probably starts at $50/hour and most repair shops have a minimum parts price markup of 20%.I recommend not buying extended warranties on products such as this. The only time i would consider one is for brand new technology, like when plasmas came out,or big ticket electronics.LCD TV's aren't all that great yet.The older TV's lasted 20 years + many times and people are having all kinds of issues with only 2 and 3 year old LCD ones.Sorry to get a little off base but I came here to inform and educate people about things such as these by providing as much info as possible, whether relative to your component or not.If you have any questions or need more help, just comment here and I will get an autolink to your post and reply ASAP.I really encourage responses so I can follow up properly as I know where you stand and asking someone else restarts all the explaining because we cannot see other 'Expert's' responses.Good luck,Greg
