Would it be the battery need replacing?

Pinch the shaft from the inside and unscrew the crown

Where the back contacts the watch you'll discover a spot where the back doesn't completely contact the watch case. Slide a thin bladed knife in there to pry off the back. You may see a screw holding the battery down. A jewelers screw driver will be needed to loosen it. You will see a number on the battery. The replacement battery will have the same number on it or a series of numbers it's compatible with. Once the battery is out, replacing it is simple.

Hit the light button (A) and then tap te bottom right side button (D).

If it looses time and it has been like more than 2 or 3 yrs since replacing the battery it could be that the battery is loosing power. loosing time is a symptom of a fading battery power.

Please just take to a jeweler and have them do it - too many things can go wrong ...

You have to remove the rear plate and then you will gain access to it. There are MANY MANY MANY places that will do it for FREE without damaging the watch. I would recommend you allow them to replace it and not worrying about you doing damage to the watch.

After clicking this link you will be forwarded to a page contains aform. You need to fill up that form. Most of them are pre-filled. You need towrite "Nixon Magnacon" in Brand box and model number in "model number" box. Please don't forget to mention "watch" in the "descriptionbox". I don't have that information, but if you take the watch into a Watch Repair or Jewelry shop, I'm sure they can identify it for you. Also, if you give the serial number and model of the watch, the ordering facility should be able to figure it out.
