Why is my coffeemaker leaking from the bottom?

  1. Make sure the filter is properly in position and that the brew basket is fully closed.
  2. If the coffeemaker is equipped with a removable water reservoir ensure that the reservoir is properly installed.
  3. Avoid overfilling the water reservoir. The coffeemaker is equipped with an overflow slot near the top of the water reservoir. If too much water is added it will flow out of this slot and collect near the base of the unit.
  4. The coffeemaker may require service. Contact an Authorized Service Center.

I have cleaned my senseo

Do not turn off the machine until all 4 cycles are complete (2 descaling & 2 rinsing ). The machine will then switch itself off. This is not properly explained in the instruction booklet.

I have just bought one

Your model power is 1450W or 1450VA, However the step down transformer of this power of 1500W is not cheap, if you look in ebay for one from hong kong is 121 pounds and the machine cost to buy a new one model with 240V direct we believe you can buy much cheaper like 60-70 pounds so you should check it before buy anything.

Can you descale a coffee machine with white

Yes. A 20% solution of white vinegar will descale any coffee maker. I prefer to run straight water for 1 cycle after this process to ensure no vinegar aftertaste remain. I've been using white vinegar to descale my coffee makers for years and it works great.

Our Senseo Coffeemaker switches off half way

You have to clean the unit. It must have calcium deposits, preventing it to heat the water properly. The unit overheats and the thermostat shuts it down.

The on off button continues

hi , i had the same problem,i cleaned the reservoir and still didnt work, what i did to resolve it was to get an old magnet and run it up and down the back of the machine (without the reservoir on) where the magnet in the reservoir would roughly be, i had the machine on and could see the light stop, i think poss the sensor in the machine had forgot its job and this woke it up lol, i then put the reservoir back on and it works fine again now....hope this resolves it for you

Why does my coffee taste and smell of plastic

You probably didn't rinse the machine before first use. It's recommended you:
  • fill the reservoir to the max,
  • put a large bowl underneath the outlet,
  • press and hold the single- and double cups buttons, and
  • then press the power button.
Leave it running for at least a full reservoir, preferrably more than one. To stop the rinsing process, press the power button again.
