Rival 38601 Smart Pot 6-Quart - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

The older crocks did not seem to get as hot as the ones form the past 10 years. I have an old blue and white one that I use only to make yogurt, since it is not as hot. I do not believe you can adjust the newer ones, just use the low setting. Good luck.

This crock pot is too old to use anymore and may be dangerous to plug in to an electrical plug. If I were you I would get a new one that has a removable insert that can be cleaned easily. That would be a safe thing to buy yourself. I have one they work great.

If its the lid or removable pot by a very cheap 6 Quart or 6 to litre Slow cooker / Crock pot of the same shape and the removable pot and lid should fit. That's what I did when I broke the lid off my Tricity TSC09 6 litre Slow Cooker I bought a cookworks signature 24 euro 605 litre oval dog standard slow cooker and the lid fit, now I also have a removable pot replacement too in case a smash that too at a low price.

As far as I know, the flashing lights are an indicator that the slow cooker is on, but awaiting instructions. You need to put in a time and then a temperature and then it will stop.I personally find the power button very disconcerting and keep having to stop myself pressing it once I've programmed the slow cooker, and accidentally switching the thing off.

You have three different kinds of speed turn the knob to low, med, or high and plug it in and it should work.

Add more liquid. If it is still getting too hot, check to see if it has a temperature knob on it somewhere, if not, you can release some of the heat by removing the lid slightly to let steam and heat release from it as it cooks
