The compressor is the part which cools the refrigerator.---------- First i will explain the working procedure of your sanyo refrigerator.---------- In the refrigerator, there is a part called compressor, the compressor is the part which cools the freezer section, When the freezer reaches its cooling level the defrost cycle starts functioning. In this cycle the fan in the freezer section starts running and the cool air in the freezer section is passed to the fridge section and the fridge section gets cold.--------- So the freezer section cooling/ freezing is must.If freezer is not getting properly cooled or not getting cooled, then fridge section will show the low or no cooling problem.--------------

There is manual reset procedure, sometimes the ice gets frosted all over and blocks the ventilation's for cool air to pass from one section to another, and this also causes problem.So directly going for compressor inspection, before that you can try manual reset procedure and see if that helps.---------

The manual reset procedure is as follows : ----
First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. It will take approx 4 to 6 hours for your refrigerator to regain its regular cooling/ freezing .So after 4 to 6 hours check , Is the refrigerator cooling properly or is it taking time or temp is dropping once you open close door. If this problems are not noticed, then reset procedure has helped.------- But if same problem is noticed after reset procedure is followed, then you can get the compressor checked. -------- This should help. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

Your machine is a pretty conventional design.
If it runs continuously then it would freeze the food.
You could try turning it to a warmer setting, but in all probability,
you will have to replace the cold control (the thermostat).

If you're going to do the work yourself, most decent sized appliance parts houses will stock that part.

yes it can be repaired but it might cost you more than a new one. check with local refrigeration company on quote before they come.

nothing to worry! just switch off your refrigerator for about 8hrs and after that switch it again. if it won't work than its time to replace your thermostart. because due to its falure only, the compressor is continously running and the temp. decreases. and all the metarials frosted..........................have a nice day :-)

Is everything really frozen or just the top shelf stuff? You may have a thermistor (temp sensor) problem if the compressor just runs and runs and runs all the time. Take a glass of water and place a thermometer in it for about 3 hours then take a temp. reading. That will let you know what the real temps are. See if you can cause the compressor to kick off and on by changing the temp settings (go to real low for about 5 minutes then back up to high). Let us know what happens.

Sounds like the damper isn't closing or the thermostat isn't working. I've seen these dampers freeze open and it basically turns your food side into a freezer side! Look at part #115 on this site. Take a mirror and look way back in the upper corner to see if you can see the little damper window is open, I'll bet it is staying open all the time pushing the freezer air into your fresh food side. http://tinyurl.com/5bnk6f.

on some models you can by pass the filter assembly you can do this by looking at the rear of the ref.at the water inlet valve you will see the lines going to the filter remove these line and look at the way the water goes into the ref you can move these lines around to bypass the filter this will tell ya if the filter assembly is bad I have seen where you cant use the filter on these machines and have to go to a in line filter.good luck and get back to me on this i will help you as much as i can

What worked for me was a E12 size LED Light Bulbs 5W (50 Watt Halogen Equivalent) Color: Daylight 6000k. It looks great! I found mine on Amazon. Keep in mind you want the longest threat length possible because the light socket has around a 1/4" extension past the threats and I really need to tighten it quite a bit before it turned on. A 1-1/2" long bulb (not included threaded area) fit perfectly. If you plan to remove the thermostat/ switch, you must 1st remove the screw in the top back and then slide the thermostat assembly towards you and it will come free.

That is probably the coolant being compressed and returning to liquid as it cools. Quite normal I would say.
